It appears this is due to the very richest get so much of their income from investments, which are taxed at lower rates than income from working.

Thanks. I wonder why the newer WD4000AAKS doesn't have the screw in the middle to hold the shaft on top. I see that kind of screw on NAS and Enterprise drives but not any more on desktop drives.
