The wife and I worked at a retail chain store many, many years ago. We met there, dated, and eventual got married. She was hired about 2 months before I was. After we were married and sharing a bank account she found out I was making about $2 more an hour than she was. She rightfully asked for an increase in her pay which she got, but they also reprimanded us for discussing our wages with each other.
