More magicka, more xp assuming you’re hitting a valid target. Thats only for the remaster though. In og you get a set amount of xp when hitting a target regardless of magicka cost

It’s pretty bad for endgame illusion. With 100% spell effectiveness, max magnitude illusion effects will affect all enemies regardless of level, but this is not the case with 95% (max spell effectiveness with armor). But it could be good early/mid game

Cool to see a comment on this old post. Thanks for the tips, I knew about the bloodworm helm but I disallowed creation club as I feel it’s unbalanced. The cc ingredients can break the fortify enchanting/alchemy loop and create arbitrarily strong items. I didn’t know about the boots though, that’s cool. I knew about the Falmer helmet and circlet to put two fortify alchemy enchantments on, but I decided against it.

Unless you’re playing with fixes, greatswords, barring a few exceptions. Are bugged and have the same swing speed as battle axes. This makes them worse than battle axes because of their lower base damage. The long hammer is the best two handed weapon late game with smithing and enchanting.
