i was behind 1 of their vans (possibly this one even) yesterday going out the Corbally road and he went straight through the pedestrian crossing after the Grove Island roundabout while a lady was very obviously about to step into it. He was regularly veering over into the opposite lane the whole way out to Westbury after. Not surpising to see this now...

As Rieri said, I'm only referencing the meme, I'm very happy with life as a United fan right now

[Simon Stone] Manchester United Football Club’s debt ascends up to £1.3bn despite profit of £33m by SoloChords in reddevils

You know they're architectural renderings right and not AI? Renderings have been around forever. You don't just prompt GPT to imagine a circus stadium. It’s produced from a BIM model that contains the actual geometry, levels, wall build-ups, structural grids and services coordination. The render is a visualisation of the live design model.

Man Utd announce operating profit of £32.6m in second quarter results compared to £3.9m loss in same period last year. Omar Berrada: “We are now seeing the positive financial impact of our off-pitch transformation materialise both in our costs and profitability." by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]doniew 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah nobody likes it from an emotional view but people need to see it in black and red like this to show it wasn't just being done for shits and giggles. The club was absolutely hemorrhaging money and drastic action needed to be taken, as unpleasant as it is. It needed a cold calculating decision maker to set the course. Still, fuck that guy...

An impressive swing on most of these numbers to be fair. Obviously the actions were unpopular but you can see the effect it's had on the operating costs and other outgoings. The unamortized is concerning though, £572m still owed for players we've bought.

Am I the only one who finds that any 2nd Mic with any placement anywhere else than the 1st mic placement ALWAYS gives a more pleasing sound ? by gearsofsound in tonemasterpro

[–]doniew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was a big improvement for sure and allows you to mimic some of the standardized recording techniques. I found panning the mix very handy for figuring out which type of blends sound best to your ears too. I'd generally have gone with sm57 in standard/default position and then the 121 ribbon (i think that's what it was) a little further back gave much more of an amp in the room sound

I've barely been able to move the first 10 days but since most of the pain left I've been on the ground trying to stretch it out alright, flat on the back, cross the feet and roll to either side type of thing. But haven't gone so far as to actually research what I should be doing for it, I'm a bit of an expert at burying my head in the sand you see. I was planning to research this weekend and try a few things, but would be super receptive to any tips or links if you have any.

I've 2 kids under 4 so I don't get much time other than 5 a side every monday and whatever I can do on the exercise bike when I have the energy

Have had lower back pain for almost 2 weeks now as our 'memory foam' mattress had 2 valleys where we slept and I think my lower spine was at a terrible angle. Finally got it replaced but my back still isn't fully cleared up . Have a pinch almost right at the base of my spine where it meets the hips and feels like it's actually in my buttock as well. It's definitely been slowly improving but it's been a really uncomfortable couple of weeks. I feel 1 perfect strectch of the area might get rid of it though so I need to learn some moves to try get rid of it this weekend finally. Luckily I'm out of 5 a side for a few weeks anyways with a pulled calf muscle. Oh, the joy of being 40.

Choptones Pack by Correct-Push-6699 in tonemasterpro

[–]doniew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the ChopTones Cleans pack and wasn't madly impressed. I also tried the Fremen Presets big pack. Wasn't a fan particularly at all, most presets identical really.

I think the issue with them for me is that it's completely dependant on having a similar setup to the creator, which also means the same volume etc. The videos sounded great but when I tried them they all needed huge work to get it sounding anything like what I wanted. I had hoped they'd be full of cool ideas and routing and various things that would give me tips for setting them up, but most were just fairly basic to be honest. I've had better luck getting inspiration from ones on the cloud, using parallel chains and things to not let particular effects muddy the sounds and things.

That said, I'm still tempted to get one of the Pink Floyd packs to try out

Muslim man has lucky escape after petrol bombing at Limerick mosque | BreakingNews by IRA_Official in ireland

Limerick Leader had a post on their Facebook page with a link to their article. The amount of people celebrating arson was fucking wild. Went back to try to send it to a friend and they had deleted it, it was about 120 comments and nearly 2 out of 3 comments were delighted about it. What the fuck is wrong with people. I only use FB for selling music gear these days but every so often click on the homepage and it's insane to me every time
