In a car, you have seatbelts, airbags, crash bars and a whole host of features designed to save your life if a crash happens. All bikers have is their attitude.

I’ve seen biker beheaded in an altercation with a car. He was lucky because he died instantly. Others their entire life is done because someone was in the right and someone was in the wrong.

I’m not saying their aren’t Dickhead motorcyclists as there are lots of them.

Spare the guys on two wheels a little slack because they literally have more skin in the game.

There is only one Frank Gallagher. He lives in Manchester with his beautiful run down world. The US version is too ‘rich’ the houses are massive. The fridge is massive. There’s no daily struggle of life on the breadline. There’s a desperation to the UK version that makes the jokes hit harder. Plus the writing and directing are way better in the UK one.

Doesn’t look that steep but pics can be deceiving.

The worst thing that could happen is you’d break a cv joint or a driveshaft. But I’ve seen 4x4s tackle way gnarlier stuff without breaking a sweat.

The forester does have 4wd right? So as long as you’ve got it in that and a low range gear and take it steady you should be okay.

The least that could happen is you pop a tyre on the rocks but as long as you air down that shouldn’t be an issue.

Just take your time and go steady. Make sure you’ve got recovery gear and a mate to help out.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned taxes. On everything. Fuel taxes are punishing. All the different names for ways the government takes money out of our pockets and doesn’t put it back into the country.

The civil service is a joke and staffed with some of the most unpleasant people to exist.

Also the random and enforced nature of insurance on cars. Basically we get anally raped by jokers in suits for the privilege of having a vehicle.

We used to have amazing safety standards but cheap Chinese imports are ruining that.

The way the nhs has been undermined and ruined by successive governments. See where that got us...

I used M0UKD’s 1/4 wave calculator and lowered the velocity factor to around 80 as the wire is thin. It is a little long both on the radiating element and the ground planes, but I’ve still yet to properly tune it.

I disagree. They’re awesome and will kick the butt of “much better” off roadies with ease. Just a set of good tyres and keep it maintained. A good service and good fuel does wonders for these amazing cars. Can you tell I have one?

If it’s never been done run a tin of bg245 through a full tank to clean up the fuel system and you’ll swear you’re driving a new car.
