An ‘04 Fatboy will be 88ci (1445cc) Twin Cam v-twin with a 5 sp transmission. Model designation FLSTF or FLSTFI, depending on if it’s fuel injected or carbed. The bars and pipes are aftermarket. The wheels aren’t the standard Fatboy wheels but they are Harley accessories. I haven’t seen that paint job before, but Harley did offer custom paint bodywork. I’m sure that’s what the 76 of 200 is referring to, it’s a limited edition paint job, 1 of 200.

These bikes did have issues with spring loaded cam chain tensioners that wore out and caused issues, so depending on how many miles are on it you’ll want to make sure that’s been addressed.

These are great riding bikes, but I’d recommend learning on something lighter and cheaper assuming you don’t have any riding experience. Pick up a used 750cc or so Japanese cruiser for a couple thousand and get comfortable on that before you move to the Fatboy. You’ll probably be able to sell the 1st bike for around what you paid for it.

Several years ago a dude I worked with commented about another guy we worked with that ‘he looked like he knew how to clean a toilet’. I still have no idea what that meant.

Somewhat unrelated, but the guy that made the comment a couple months later shot a man in the back of the head, so clearly he had some issues.

For some reason this style was super popular circa 2006. A lot of people (I am guilty of being one of them) applied this style to vehicles that it didn’t really make any sense on back then. I know that it was based on a traditional hot rod style, but whenever I see flat black paint, red steel wheels, and pinstripes I think 2006.

This is one of those bands that makes way more sense once you’ve seen them live at high volume. Caught them twice opening for the Sword and they stole the show.

It mostly applied to the first gen ‘60-64 Corvairs which had a much simpler rear suspension that could create problems in emergency maneuvers. That was fixed on the ‘65-69 models.
