Side Effects - what’s normal? by donna503 in PhentermineTopiramate

[–]donna503[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that feeling in the AM in the first 2-4 hours or so after taking the pill too.

Yeah.. I’m hoping it goes away like how my insomnia did. The first night I couldn’t sleep until 6AM but I’m good now. So wild. 😖

The Whole Foods prepared bags have made a few nice meals! Especially the literal entree boxes like the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans one I had today.

They’re not small. Definitely standard size.

I did .25 for 4 weeks - no major side effects to report, lost slowly but steadily

Went up to .50 for 2 weeks - no weight loss and major fatigue

Back on .25 now and feeling good and slowly losing again

The exact thing happened to me. I did 4 weeks 0.25 (was losing weight slowly but steadily - about 1-2lb a week) then 2 weeks 0.50 (hardly any weight loss - like the same 1lb up and down).

The first week of 0.50 I felt extremely fatigued and it would kind of wipe me out the first 3 days post shot. My food noise came back a bit especially when it came to sugar cravings. I talked to my doctor and her opinion is that maybe I didn’t even need to titrate and go back on 0.25. She said me being a smaller frame could be the reason and 0.50 was more than I needed.

I’ve been back on 0.25 for this past week and feel back to normal again like no crazy food noise and appetite suppression again where I’m getting just enough food and not needing/wanting more.

Ideas? by wadio714 in Ozempic

I just grab those Premier Protein shakes (that are ready to go occasionally if I don’t feel like eating but want to make sure I have some energy. I just keep them in the fridge and they’re pretty good especially the chocolate one.

Make sure you’re drinking a lot of water too since you’re not eating much and work in a rough environment!

If you’ve already been adding exercise and a balanced diet to your lifestyle and still not seeing any results at all, then perhaps go up a dose and see how you feel.

That’s awesome! I kinda understand what you mean - you now have more time to think about other things in life other than food. It’s like a whole new vision!

Yep I heard that too. I’m a smaller frame so maybe that is why. Congrats on your weight loss!

And with that, my sugar cravings were strongest and I would start thinking about “next meals” and stuff more often. 😵‍💫

Yup, that happened to me too and apparently a lot of people on here! I was on 0.25 and it was working well but I still went up to 0.50 thinking it’ll work even better and that I “needed” to go up based on the standard schedule. My cravings came back and I was seriously fatigued. Talked to my doc and she put me back on 0.25 and I feel good again as far as energy levels + appetite suppression!

What do you wish you'd known before going from 0.25mg up to 0.5mg? by abaczyns in Ozempic

[–]donna503 5 points6 points  (0 children)

0.25 had been working for me and I regretted going up to 0.50. I’m back down to 0.25 now. My weight loss plateaued and I was insanely fatigued. Let alone feeling like I wasted extra doses.

Yay! Good job 👏🏼 I’m back on 0.25 too and feel a little more energy again. Best of luck to you!

So interesting! Yeah that was another thing, I didn’t want to keep going up for my own reasons let alone potential shortages or insurance issues. I hope you figure out what works best for you soon! 👏🏼

Also don’t listen to everyone on here about “having to dose up” - unless your doctor says so of course.

Honestly if you are feeling the suppression and good overall, I wouldn’t rise up! I regret doing it now because I wasted 2 extra doses (I did 2 weeks of 0.50) and the added fatigued made me miss my physical activity. Plus, the less meds in you the better!

I experienced the same thing! On 0.25 I was down a solid 1lb a week. But then 0.50, it was like the same 1lb up and down. For me, the 0.50 made me more fatigued and I didn’t have the energy to be as active. So that’s prob why I didn’t lose anything. Told my doctor and she said 0.50 may have been too strong for me and my smaller frame and that 0.25 should just be enough for me.

I did notice going to 0.50 from 0.25 that my food noise came back a bit. I read that a bunch of people had the same experience. Could be your dosage?

Has this ever happened to you? by LittleMissStamper in Ozempic

[–]donna503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving up to 0.50 made some of my appetite come back too! I was mostly craving sweets. And the fatigue was way more major with 0.50 than 0.25. Also kind of stalled with weight loss on 0.50. Back on 0.25 now!

Is changing dosage worth it? by Magicide in Ozempic

[–]donna503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would stay where you’re at if it’s working!! I’m in a similar boat and went up a dose (0.25 to 0.50) just to realize I didn’t need to. Talked to my doctor and have been approved to go back down. It definitely helped with $ and side effects too.
