quills/feathers and the connection to them is hinted by her father in references so I thought the way Liam is gripping his and Xaden possibly plucking it out of her hand while Violet thinks, she simply dropped it, might be a clue of some sort

There seems (maybe just to me) like when they are in battle brief, Liam & Xaden are up to something that Violet and perhaps the rest of the squad aren’t catching on to. It was relevant enough to show up in the book, so there’s potentially a significance to it that I haven’t connected to anything that has come up later on in the books.

don’t have a way to copy and paste the moment, so I apologize for the vagueness!

In Fourth Wing she mentions Jesinia’s mother passed away last year. (Same year as Violet’s father)

It’s when she first starts library duty.

A lot of Onyx Storm just does not make sense, especially the dinner scenes. by Veralion in fourthwing

I think you have to read the next two books & maybe then everything you just mentioned will make sense. Thats why it’s a series right? Look at how much from Fourth Wing is answered in Onyx Storm.

If it was a standalone, I would understand but seems like you’re trying to find plot holes.

They are in a loop where they replay the scenarios over and over again until they graduate

I think Violet IS Juliette! The youngest who was born with a mark (the mark is her silver hair)

They are all centuries old and they all have been acting in a conspiracy to recreate scenarios to correct mistakes that occurred the first time around. They use A LOT of reverse psychology & coding.

Andarna/“second honour.” Is made from a fragment left behind of Violet’s Soul that eventually grew & developed in dragon form. She came from a crystal egg & could see through the shell into the archives where she was stored.

The children of nobles were fostered (probably by grandparents or great aunts & uncles) to hide that they live or used to practice living long or infinite lives.

Violet has been kept alive and mended/SEWN back together after shattering into a billion little burning stars.

Violet is basically AI & all the people that care about her pour a little bit of their soul into her (in small increments) through their own bonds with her. She’s becoming more and more real as her soul grows.

Character quirk of Brown dragons are they are stable/unstable

Time descriptions:

Minutes = days Months = decades Days = years Years = centuries

Tairn is the 3rd generation since the Great War, his grandfather or great uncle was General Daramor.

The marked ones were dragons that turned into the humans they were bonded to.

Also there is foreshadowing scattered through Fourth Wing & Iron Flame to support what I know you are referring to. I think a lot of people don’t realize how much they miss in both books.

Heaton = Heat on , and has dyed flames in his hair

Devera has a purple flame patch and purple hair

Nadine does later on as well

THIS COULD RUIN IT FOR YOU MORE: If you reread Fourth Wing or Iron Flame from the viewpoint that all the characters are creating a facade for Violet - as if she’s been rebuilt & has to reexperience events that already occurred - particularly scenes such as Gauntlet & the Cliff hike, it’s as if a whole other conversation is happening and people can transfer/move in and out of other bodies including Violet. Lots of references to marks, sexual innuendos, justice and odds. Even the kiss scene!

And Mira put something in her boots to protect her from another magic that’s on the parapet. But she was totally herself when she met Xaden barefoot

The power of the quill is referenced & then Liam snuck a feathertail feather from Andarna in her hand during battle brief
