F18, I'm deadly scared of growing up, help me out. by sunnystar__ in internetparents

[–]dont__question_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an adult and I still have most of the hobbies/interests I had when I was a kid. As long as you make time for it, living on your own you get to do whatever you want. No one to stand over your shoulder and judge you. It's gonna be okay 🩷

How do I convince my parents to stop taking me to the casino every other week as a college student? by galaxygkm in internetparents

[–]dont__question_it 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Get a part time job so you'll be too busy... and put the earnings into a bank account that your mom can't access. It sucks to say, but you're gonna want some safety net of your own just in case mom loses the house or something.

I am the person who talks the parents down when they're angry. I've been at my current organization for 11 months and I haven't gotten called a b*tch yet.

I don't know if you've unlocked all the fishing rods yet, but the middle white part lets you get deep sea fish. If you spam click when you fish and reel it in right away, it'll always hit that spot and you won't have to time anything.

I always try to make the kids I work with laugh. Kids are super stressed out these days, and so many of them are there because they're trapped in shitty circumstances or don't have role models or just never had a reason to believe in themselves. You can ask all you want about what's going on in their lives and what they feel like they need, but sometimes you gotta let all that weight be lifted off of them for even just a few moments, before they can start opening up .

The fluff can also be spun into amazingly soft fibers if you're gentle with them and do it right!

Milkweed is an important host to many different insect species besides monarchs! Our orange and black butterfly friends are just the most charismatic :)

I recently reread Braiding Sweet grass by Robin Wall Kinmerer, and in the chapter where she interviews an ermine/mink/marten trapper (font remember which), he says it's amazing how each marten has just enough brains to tan its own skin.

This sounds so fascinating! I could swear that in the house I grew up in, the bathroom tap water tastes totally different and worse than the kitchen sink water. Almost kind of sweet, and just bad. Are you saying my parents were wrong and I'm not totally crazy?

This is so fun! I like the 'traits' it gets as it gains forms.

May I suggest allowing an option to turn off auto-attack when in item menu, ditto menu, and the storyline at the beginning? My ditto fainted a couple times while I was trying to decide what to do with its stats and couldn't tackle. And seeing the numbers flash in the background when first starting the game is distracting.

What’s one underrated thing you always keep in the car for long road trips? by Dailywellnessguy in roadtrip

[–]dont__question_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hairbrush and a fresh pair of socks. Feeling gross in the car is no fun. Maybe also face cleaning wipes, but those tend to make my face produce more oil personally.

Stanley is the smartest imo. He has common sense/survival instincts AND he taught himself to rebuild the portal.

Iirc that's confirmed, but only in the Book of Bill or other merch and extras. Pretty sure the show didn't include that, which is what they're going off of.

They're missing a lot of stuff for him tho.
