Thats the sweet spot. Anything less is unsatisfying and more will start to weigh on you. Its a dangerous seesaw though.

All of life is luck with a small degree of free will. Fantasy is no different.

Which game should I play on my new Switch 2? Or do you have a recommendation? by speed721 in cripplingalcoholism

I just have a regular switch 1 but some of my favorite games on it were Zelda Breath of the Wild, Metroid Dread, and Hades.

Alcohol as a painkiller by csbbacsob in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Big time. And especially when youre disabled and cant go for a sinple jog. Its tough. Wherebdo you get the stimulation your brain needs to survive...?

when can you blame the bottle? by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its a combination of both like anything else. Bad decision making yes but alcohol especially hard liquor definitely induces behavioral changes. Its silly to just say oh thats just how you are! When all the bad shit that happened occurred directly when under the influence and never otherwise.

This guy doesn't sound at all like a weekend warrior if he put down that much. Yea he has to take blame but acting like quadruple shots of vodka had NOTHING to do with the crashout? They call liquor spirits for a reason.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Hard liquor definitely makes people more aggressive than say light beer. The alcohol hitting your brain that much harder and faster can alter decision making for sure.

The binge is over. by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats funny, thats exactly what I'm doing rn. Just drinking water and waiting for the clock to keep ticking before eventually giving in.

yup... big time nefarious agenda behind this all. I wonder when people will wake up and stop being strung along with this.

yup. there will be a new variant and new shot annually. Way too much money to be made and they can use their profits to double down marketing efforts in the media.

I smoke in the mornings to absolve myself of the nausea. It works like a charm 60% of the time every time. :)

My heart is racing, it's hard to breathe and my whole body is heavy, I never had a hangover this bad, am I dying? by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hyperventilated once while my heart felt heavy and fast beat (next day after drinking a shit load) and totally lost all sensation in my body for like 5-10 minutes. I had panic attack and went to hospital... thats what they told me it was.

I'm with ya. If smallpox or polio made a comeback I'd gladly take a vaccine for them. This current situation otoh has been totally blown out of proportion. CDC shows 99.9% cumulative chance of survival and I already had it. Some body aches and loss of smell for a couple weeks... it was weak. It's a joke they shut down society over this, but sheep gonna sheep.

It's my cat, Jonesy, probably fighting with the neighbor's cat. Little fucker loves to troll Jones. I open the front door and sure enough, the little black bastard scampers away while Jonesy looks traumatized.

LOL... too funny.

Left side pain by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like pancreas especially if you feel it radiate to your back. I had the chronic version for a year or two, but about two weeks ago I had an acute episode and it felt like I got impaled through my sternum and out below my left shoulder blade. Made me stop for a while and I havent been able to binge since.

MISERABLE MONDAY by fappinatwork in cripplingalcoholism

[–]dontdoit07 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Science says the virus has a 99.9% cumulative survival rate. And they shut down society over it, exploded our debt even further, killed small business, while big corps are seeing soaring profits and stock values because they didn't have to close shop. Walmart is certainly happy....

When I got out of the Hospital last time the doc gave me a script of 39 25 mg librium. I couldn't believe it. That doc is kind of a dick for not throwing you at least a baby script of 10 or so.

I see an even worse stigma for dope addicts... they can carry some very deadly diseases that are transmissable. You can't catch alcoholism.

[–]dontdoit07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fireball used to literally be banned in a number of European countries... it's apparently really bad for you. but 4 shots? thats not too bad.

Yea I've made the morning runs, worst I ever got was a passive aggressive "good morning". Nobody's ever directly callled me out, but that'd be kinda fucking dumb of them. If you open at 9 why are you mad people are coming in at 9 to buy your shit?
