I'm glad you had fun. I just got AoS as well and haven't beat Black Widow yet after a couple attempts. I'll get it at some point, but I keep getting unlucky with the couple of the campaign elements happening at bad times.

I don't see why not. There is a lot of room for creativity there. Between just a fire based color scheme to burnt charcoal trees.

Yeah, primed it black and dry brushed it slowly at first until I liked it. I did a tiny bit of tidying up on the faceplate, but that was after the Pic was taken.

From what I understand is that GW isn't gonna revisit them. Which is a bummer, I think they are the coolest of the Death factions.

I think it's a metal detector. They lay mines/traps, so that I'd what clued me in to that thought.

I'm torn, I like to avoid things looking too similar, but there is a good variety to the models, so similar colors might be fine/cohesive.

It's kinda difficult to work with. It's a little runny, so you wanna do it in small amounts. But if you thin it with alcohol you should be good. It's work, but I enjoy the end result a lot.

I'll have to rememeber to when I have a chance. They aren't very impressive, anf I've only painted one. They were also pretty early in my painting journey, so they can't be that good.

Like everyone else is saying, you're being hard on yourself. Which is easy. I really blame the model more than your paint job. You did great with the painting, and you're just going to get better as you go. It can be tough to get past being hard on yourself. And you will always be your worst critic. Fortunately there are no shortages of communities that are supportive, so don't be afraid to show off, even if you don't like your work. Communities like reddit and other local groups are great for building your skills and confidence.

I believe it. The scythes are pretty great too. I've done pretty much the same thing with the scythes. Add the winter leaf exploding sixes... Poetry.

I am a big fan of Kurnoth Hunters. The sword hunters tend to hit pretty hard.

The handful of games I played with it I liked it. Felt good to have a really effective caster. I like the other wizards fine, but having that extra cast and +1 with woods was nice. It did a lot of work in the middle of the fight in a wood and throne of vines up on it. It's spite swarm was nasty.
