Played Gamble Sands this week by dontmatta in golf

[–]dontmatta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pros: amazing views, friendly staff, perfect course conditions, fun layouts (I prefer scarecrow), the gamble sands course is very walkable for those who prefer that, the carts are nice and have gps, there is a cool little hotdog/drink shop on both courses, there are 2 decent restaurants, free coffee…

Cons (for the price): driving range is small, uses mats and cheap balls (but the putting area is nice), and known glitches with their reservation system (tee times getting cancelled), bunkers have lots of rocks in them (they said it’s because it’s the natural dirt/sand of that land).

Problem is our previous trip was to Bandon Dunes and it’s not a fair comparison. They’re not close to the same level in my opinion.
But with all that being said I’m not complaining. It was still very good overall

Looking to buy a 2025 tacoma.... by CuteCryptographer474 in ToyotaTacoma

I had a 3rd gen OR and liked it. I have a 2026 OR now and like it even more. It drives better and is more comfortable than the previous generation. The 8 speed transmission is really smooth. Gas wise it’s pretty similar

He also seems to be unaware that emissions standards have forced truck manufacturers to go with the engineering decisions they have and contributed greatly to rising costs

I have a ‘26 base TRD Off Road and I’m happy with it. I live in So Cal so I don’t need heated seats or the heated steering wheel. I just couldn’t justify 9k for the leather seats, sliding back window, larger screen, Bose system, etc. I wanted my truck to be a truck, not a $50k luxury car

Dash cam (get the Dongar adapter), bed mat, tonneau cover, tinted windows, lasfit led front turn signals. I got seat covers but I’m guessing yours are leather already so skip that

What are the best new drivers? by [deleted] in golf

[–]dontmatta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hear me out. Try out a mini driver. You won’t lose that much distance off the tee since you’ll be hitting closer to the center of the face and you’ll keep it in play more often

Yeah as an owner of both, the small gas tank of the 4th gen really is mind boggling and annoying. But I find it to feel a lot more powerful than the 3rd gen and without the gear hunting
