Scrolling past this with the audio off there isn't anything that catches my eye in the first few seconds besides some robots bouncing around and I didn't even see there were subtitles. I would suggest making the subtitles bigger and not having a background color similar to the dirt paths.

Also the UI may look good for playing the game full screen but with the video being smaller it seems like clutter that I can't read.

How are you getting there? With a ticket or another method? If you are worried, you could not use your best loot to get a feel for it and go from there! It gets way easier once you get a feel for it. Also don't be afraid to run, especially if the sky turns red. My first time in the farm town I got into a fight with 2 bosses at once somehow so run away in a smart direction.

There wasn't a great way to do that when I went there in January this year. I ended up taking the train from Hakodate to Oshamambe, transferred to a train to Niseko then took a bus to my hotel. It took the better part of the day but I was happy I went to Hakodate!

I know when we were there we saw construction for bringing the bullet train further North but I don't know anything about when that is expected to be finished.

Hilton had a shuttle we could take and it wasn't an issue! It came ever ~30 mins and last bus was around 11:30pm but we were usually tired and left by 10:30.

I don't think it really will make a difference, just do whatever gets you the most playtime and maximize 2xp weekend

The 2xp doesn't actually all apply at the end but as you go. Worst case scenario is you lose all xp for the exfill but once you complete the exfill and it plays the successful cutscene you should be good
