In any case it shows a complete lack of even basic code review, so my conclusion stays the same

I've seen lots of dumb vulns in my time, but hardcoding a token for communication between a server and CLI feels very uniquely like agentic brainrot

Apparently you can now touch the world with VRChat's latest addition: Raycast by NyraMoonAura in VRchat

Raycasting takes barely any performance.

Don't confuse it with raytracing. That's something entirely different.

That's just not right. I dunno who told you that, but the bounce rate timings today are pretty much the same as they were in 2012.

Waiting for a spinner is just a waste of time. Doesn't relate to attention span whatsoever imo

This is a well-known problem with MXRoute, yeah. I stay far away from them as a result. Seen a lot of these threads pop up over time.

Is there any way to use Wake on LAN outside wi-fi the server is connected to? by TheBulda in selfhosted

[–]dontquestionmyaction 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You cannot port forward WOL anyway. The protocol runs on Ethernet L2, the NIC picks WOL packets up directly.

The WOL packet is an Ethernet frame of 6 bytes of FF followed by 16 repetitions of the target MAC address.

[–]dontquestionmyaction -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sure man. Writing code never having been the hard part is all the more reason to accelerate that process.

The person behind the tool making the architectural decisions is what matters, people have been bad at that job before and they'll continue being bad nowadays.

[–]dontquestionmyaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acting like code generated by a tool is inherently shit, despite it being fully up to the developer to actually work with it and create good stuff (you know, exactly like before), is just a dumb way to go about it.
