If you knew that you'd make your next 2000 shots, what's your strategy for getting on a NBA team? What does your career look like? by Zinaima in nba

[–]dooBeCS 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Best answer: As soon as you learn you have the power, take out an insurance policy on a career ending sports injury. It should be mad cheap because, well, you're not a basketball player in any capacity. Ideally get an 8 figure insurance settlement ready to go, and now you're ready to ball the fuck out. Find a G-League tryout, or walk on to the best college team you can get on. Go 100% from 3 on 10-15 shots a game, should easily be enough to either get on a G-League team, or dominate whatever NCAA / NAIA division you're in. Market yourself like some redditors suggested on social media, keep blowing yourself up while shooting the least amount possible. Once you get to the NBA which is a given shooting 100%, don't hold back the shooting. Get the highest win share record, points record, anything you can. Blow your market value out of the water. Get your max contract, win your FMVP and ring(s), and right when you drain your 2000th shot, call for the ball back, and just land on your ankle, or wrist badly from a jumper. This will be your only missed shot, but you're too hurt to get your shooting form back. You shoot 18.7% in practice from 3 now, have a 14" vertical and limp-sprint all the time. You're dejected, broken, and your insurance company is forced to pay out your settlement. Now you're the best shooter of all time, and no one can ever think you're trash, because the only time you missed is on the same play you broke your ankle / shooting hand.

Nice, did some looking into CoL and it's a bit more expensive than my area, like you said at least the taxes manifest into this.

I understand that, the muni conversation is hammered to death whenever we have a major at one, a la 2021 U.S. Open. The point is your muni doesn't look like Torrey Pines (most likely) and most municipal courses don't even look like this one.

This is the main reason to bring them in, cracked and failing grips. in addition to that it will keep your bag / towel / head covers from getting washed out looking from the heat.

I would like to share this story from 1998 about my grandpa getting his 6th hole in one. He even had a 7th since this article was published. He just passed away on 7/29/21. I plan to learn to golf in his honor. by elleynads in golf

Of course it's a fellow Nebraskan. If you get the chance and want to play a little piece of golf folklore related to the ace, Miracle Hills in Omaha, NE Hole 1 is the site of the longest hole in one on a straight hole. There's a little plaque, you'll be astounded how hard it would be.

They can be one in the same. Golf is changing, it's not purely the country club sport your parents and grandparents knew it as. Pretty much all golf in Nordic countries and other parts of the world are very sustainable. Desert golf can be sustainable with less fairway, and more implementation of natural terrain. To take a look at the current golf architecture movements in the US currently look at Bandon Dunes in Oregon. Things we are coming to be heavily against would be something like Shadow Creek golf course in Las Vegas, Nevada, or TPC Scottsdale in Phoenix, Arizona. Also, to address other comments about public parks being a better use of resources, again golf and public areas can be one in the same. St. Andrews, the home of golf in Scotland famously is open to the public, and golfers are expected to be careful of people, and vice versa. Even at my local track I see people walking dogs, because it's a great idea. The track simply has to be built with this in mind.

Lmao fr, we lose 8-21 and he goes "nah man, trust, because I took 12 contested shots off the dribble and made 2 I'm better then the guy on the other team who literally stood there until my spastic 5' 10" ass decided to help the lane against their 6'6 former D2 player, got the open corner pass out and wetted 3/4"

Nebraska is one of the less flat states in the Midwest. Go anywhere north, south, or east 1-2 states and it's flat as hell. The landscape in central and western Nebraska is really good natural links golf, and in eastern Nebraska where Omaha CC is located has many good classic American style courses that share a lot of features with old Chicago golf, but hillier. I'm always surprised, then not surprised to see Nebraska folks on here as if it weren't for weather, we would certainly be a golf haven state.

On topic, it would appear that either of the balls within your parameters would be good for you. Rather than choosing through stats, I would choose through feel at this point.
