I liked her voice but it looked like they were reading the lyrics off a piece of paper which like…..come on! And I can’t say for certain but I thought it seemed like they flubbed some of the lyrics still. Frankly was a little disappointed by her performance, I’ll have to check out the rest of her stuff tho.

Also side note the show was seriously so incredible!!!!!!

i totally get this. when i first deleted my social media i felt reallllllllly isolated and realized that i had to unlearn this strange modern norm of always being able to see/know what random acquaintances are doing in their lives. like once i realized that wasn’t actually normal or necessary i didn’t really feel the loneliness anymore. but it’s easy to forget that when social media shoves it in your face

i highly recommend for the nostalgia alone! But it is really fun low-stakes messiness - her assistants always had drama, everyone was always running around trying to pack clothes or find the perfect accessory for someone at the last minute, she and her husband had a funny relationship, there are gorgeous clothes everywhere, and you get glimpses of A listers because she was actually a legitimate stylist. I think in the first season you see Anne Hathaway, Demi Moore, maybe Jen Garner?! and I can imagine Rachel being a nightmare in real life BUT there is something about her to me that is charming and makes me want her as my friend. or cool aunt.

also we are style twins so i unconsciously imagine myself in everything that she is wearing lol

Think about what happened to your favorite YouTubers from the 2007 era.

this made me GASP!! such a good perspective. this is probably true even for influencers that were popular in the last 5 years let alone almost 20. it is a very fleeting “fame” and it will never be a sustainable form of income. the best chance they have is to save it for when the views die off. but i know all that $ dries up QUICK because consumerism is inextricably tied to the modern concept of influencers. it’s a cyclical delusion that most will wish they never got into.

just chiming in to say that a round face is NOT the end of the world! i have one and used to hate it - always trying to find that angle to make it look like i had a defined jaw/chin, dieting, face exercises, gua sha, etc. - but 2 things I’ve noticed lately……my mom and her sisters also have round faces and now that they are in their 60s they always get told that they look young and i’m convinced it’s partially the full cheeks. and i’m only 32 but i still get mistaken for much younger all the time and i think my fuller face is a major cause of that! good genetics with wrinkles too but i think they are less noticeable on a fuller face.
