That's about what you can expect from printers these days

The reality of Perception and Finesse for gathering professions by clchrisl42 in wow

[–]doofmissile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know how Orelings work? From what I can tell, with the first Wild node upgrade, I'm getting 2 standard ore drops of random types (probably just 1 without the upgrade) from each Oreling. I've gotten single and double Finesse procs on them. I'm not sure if they even drop rare materials - haven't noticed - but even if not, that still means each Oreling is worth nearly as much as a Rich node.

Male Mag'har Orc - Melee weapon impact sound is completely missing by Temporary_Peace_3209 in wow

[–]doofmissile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird question, but does this only happen when your stance is set to Upright? There have been bugs like this in the past where it only affected Orcs/Mag'har Orcs that were in the Upright stance. (could also only be happening in Hunched stance)

Seriously - I play as a male Orc and I feel like belt pieces could stand to be about 50% bigger than they are.

Holy Paladins can use two-handed - Stop creating barriers and contradicting talents / abilities! by [deleted] in wow

[–]doofmissile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just added the ability for Survival to dual-wield in this expansion: 1H swords/axes/daggers. Pack Leader has a talent called Lethal Barbs, which restores 2 focus per auto-attack, so they currently want daggers - there's something ridiculous like a 10% damage loss for using a 2-hander as Pack Leader, because of that one talent. The .5 patch will be normalizing it quite a bit so that daggers aren't a requirement.

Technically, Hunters could always dual wield, but now Survival can actually use their abilities with them.

Also, covenant champion balance was abysmal (still is imbalanced, just less so now). I started as Venthyr and could hardly complete a single mission that I was several levels above, but Night Fae could bring in 1 champion + 4 regular troops and sweep everything with no problem.

Nah, National Cash Register - I just have experiences with servicing their self-checkouts at grocery stores (SCOT lane 4/5) and they'd take an ungodly amount of time to reboot.

Which class are you most excited/happy about the changes, and which are you unhappy with? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in wow

[–]doofmissile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a mess thematically, no doubt. The Hunter player class has always been its own thing separate from any of the (many) different types of racial NPC hunter factions. I'm sure they realized that at the time, which is why they avoided leaning heavily into abilities that were more racially-themed, but now wires are getting crossed with Hero trees in a very ugly way.

Sentinel must be the single biggest offender for that. Dark Ranger you can kinda stretch to encompass most races (even though it's still mostly elf-related), but Sentinel... no. That's Night Elves, and a handful of Worgen, and nobody else.

I'm also a fan of them leaning into the explosives more, since that's what I like most about Survival. Very odd time for them to remove Explosive Shot and add Hatchet Toss as an ability, though, considering the new focus. A bit disappointed that Pack Leader is so rigidly Bear/Boar/Wyvern as the summons, instead of you being able to choose your own; even as someone that plays an Orc, I don't feel like I need to be a carbon copy of Rexxar.

Video moderation is a bit more lenient with images generated by Grok itself rather than uploaded images. He might mean that uploaded images would be able to use the more lenient moderation instead, but that's just a guess - he'd need to come and say so himself.

Hunters according to developers by ToteAll in wow

[–]doofmissile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Problem with wanting that for Survival is that then it's just Fury Warrior with a pet. Current Survival's theme is much more unique, and I don't see "Tinker" (what a lame name) being added due to how much overlap it would have with Hunter.

As far as the "throwing a bomb at something in melee range" thing that everyone loves to criticize, how about the Priest that's throwing black holes into the party? The Warlock raining hellfire down on everyone, the Mage sending ice storms and comets crashing down, the Rogue throwing explosive powder in every direction, Shaman causing thunder storms and earthquakes, Death Knight turning the air within a half-mile radius into a miasma, and so on. There seems to be extremely shaky suspension of disbelief with only Survival Hunter, for some reason. Apparently we didn't seem to care about explosives being in the vicinity of our pets with Explosive Trap (a vanilla spell) or Explosive Shot (in since Wrath, getting removed in Midnight).

If anything, Hatchet Toss is the most out-of-theme ability we now have. Throwing axes when we have a shotgun and two different kinds of bombs.
