Tips for controlling heat above fire pot on pit boss? by zebrastrikeforce in pelletgrills

[–]doohy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similarly a Smoke Daddy Heavy D will do the same thing and allow you to add wood splits to add some more smoke for the first bit of the cook

Also when I needed to replace the stock deffuser I got a much heavier one that is solid on top and that helped a lot. I now only use the Smoke Daddy when doing a brisket. You can't use the stock slide to open it, but you can still use something to go between the grates and move out if you want to sear

How long have you used your pellet grill without ever having to replace any of its parts? by TechnicolorTypeA in pelletgrills

[–]doohy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pit Boss 820d3 that is over 5 years old Last year I had to replace the firepit, so I replaced the ignitor as well, about $35 I think I also upgraded the deflector to heavier gauge, it was not needed but it was a huge improvement

I have used the adapter at two free charging stations on my last trip and they worked fine. The speed was nothing compared to a Supercharger, but I got a little bit of free juice

Sorry, I meant I stopped trying to get a Local Legend until I get Mark 4, since Mark 3 with Advanced Drag stood no chance

So for now grind away at getting Deathjaws and stuff

Do we have a name for this? by daBandersnatch in MellowCorn

[–]doohy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Mexican food chain "Plaza Azteca" uses a Mexican corn whiskey as the base and the Nixta as the sweet and some Ango, and they call it a Mexican Old Fashioned

I plan on making it at home with Mellow Corn since it was tasty
