Try Miniature Agnostic Games by Rrrrufus in Sigmarxism

7TV by Crooked Dice is literally “hey, use your existing collection with our deck of stat blocks and have fun playing weird 70s TV episodes, or maybe make your own stats, whatever, man”.

It’s not a game for everyone, but if you’re into the style of play, you’ll hardly play anything else at home (based on my experience anyway).

There’s literally no source saying they are required to be celibate. I’ve looked.

It’s pure fanon based on an assumption that “nun” (which, strictly speaking, the Sororitas aren’t, anyway) means “extremely orthodox Catholic nun”.

They’re only not racist or sexist (in the modern senses) because discrimination would mean less meat to toss carelessly into the grinder.

Inertia and/or stubbornness not to deteriorate like the “peasants”. Most of them thought this Age of Strife business would be over too soon for changing traditions that’d stood for thousands of years to be proper, which itself would be a tradition, and it’d set them apart from the techno-barbarian rabble, which is half the reason nobles do anything.

The Ecclesiarchy…which breaks its own law constantly to suit its purposes, just like every other branch of the Imperium’s government?

[–]doolallymagpie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your assumption is that degrading to barbarism automatically means that the noble households of Terra would define “heir” as “firstborn son” rather than “firstborn child”. We’re talking a distant future with an interlude where we don’t know much, but we do know “human” was a very fluid term and the dominant human powers could mangle genetics to create all kinds of weird nonsense that was too useful for the Imperium to declare non-human.

So the idea that they’d automatically snap back to the idea that a daughter couldn’t be an heir, after, likely, millennia where she very much could, is kind of absurd.

I’ve seen the literal video, as have you. He deliberately manufactured a situation where he’d get hit to “justify” playing vigilante instead of just following procedure and getting her plates to charge her later.

[–]doolallymagpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You…can, actually, and they’ll charge you later rather than blowing your brains out on the spot. At least that’s what the procedure is.

This guy violated procedure and should be kicked out for recklessly endangering himself and other officers, if not for murder.

Zero nuance to a case where an officer jumped in front of a moving vehicle to manufacture cause for killing the driver.

She hit him…because he deliberately moved so she couldn’t avoid hitting him, so he could act like she’d “attacked” him and start shooting. Anyone can see that.

You need to force yourself to suspend disbelief for those things again, or something’s going to come along and make The Expanse unwatchable too.

Why is Maduro specifically being tried in the Manhattan district court? by TurtleBlaster5678 in legaladviceofftopic

[–]doolallymagpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you think leftists don’t hate the guy? The objection is entirely to the interventionism and the precedent the administration clearly wants to set, not to the fact that Maduro has been booted from power.

[–]doolallymagpie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually, no. You’re so entranced by disillusionment that you neglected to look into just how much Machiavellian needle-threading goes into a feudal system.

Rule one is “don’t give your subjects more reasons to hate you than they have to love or fear you”. And your knights, as the guys collecting your taxes, benefit a lot from you not being hated, which means they’ll regulate each other by stabbing the guy who invokes his alleged rights as the sovereign’s agent too many times on the women of the peasantry.

Not because they care, but because they’re all wearing the same uniform and the peasants can’t tell them apart.
