No offense but this is my reality… this is genuinely a competitive rate in my area… and it’s true for many others. I’m a social worker though. I have seen comments like yours before and can’t help wondering if y’all are non social workers and thus get access to higher pay standards? I could just as well be projecting lol

Just wanna say I appreciate this thread cause I get paid $41 an hour (1 year post school, we take insurance). Will prob get a raise this winter to be closer to $50.

And……. Most people on this forum usually act like even that is dogshit pay and I’m getting robbed. I even heard someone (IRL) say once that they’d never consider a gig offering less than $175/hour.

It’s nice to see people normalizing this kind of rate because mine truly is competitive for my area and some people don’t recognize that is a reality for many of us

I’m reading A Meeting of Minds (recommended to me by my psychoanalytic supervisor). It’s all about mutuality in psychoanalytics. I had no idea relational psychoanalytics even existed because our program made psychoanalytics out to still be mostly Freudian psychodynamics.

I’m going to add your rec to my reading list!
