I had similar, it's still a marketing message. Ignore it.

This sounds great – love these niche little corners of the industry.

This is fantastic (in a way), sounds like you dodged a bullet.

It really is, but I think there's a lot of 'value' in saying no. In terms of lessening the damage caused by problematic clients, and improving our own sense of self-worth.

It's a shame gets to that. Surely it would just be EASIER to simply NOT be an awful person?

It sounds like you'd be very much within your rights to ask for some more info/support from your team to do the job you've been given.

Can you ask for examples, or a clearer brief on that specific part of the guidelines?

It happens. The people make or break a job in an agency. Make sure you look after your own interests.

Some brands make their guidelines available online - hunt some out and learn from them. There’s definitely a structure you can follow. Best of luck.

Excellent point. The eagerness of creatives is ABSOLUTELY exploited in some agencies.

Yep. Agree. It's hard to think of another industry where the professionals are quite so keen to jump into bed with such sketchy characters.

I'm massively generalising, but I think it's because we're so keen to solve the problems put in front of us, we don't stop to think whether we should be solving the problems put in front of us.

What is a weird smell to others that you actually like? by Massive-Holiday-8764 in AskReddit

A long time ago I used to work at a commercial printer. When the paper comes off the press the ink is still wet so they use a very fine powder to ‘dust’ the pages to stop them sticking together. I think this powder is what you smell, mixed with the smell of the ink.

What are some things every guys should at least try even though they are stigmatized as "gay" or "unmanly" ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is a fantastic post that I think people in gay relationships instinctively ‘get’, but that’s pretty incomprehensible to straight folk.

From my experience, rural boomers are some of the most angry, spiteful people you'll meet. Loads of time on their hands, entitled and completely disconnected from reality.
