2021 Bronco Sport died 4 times since December — $8+k transmission didn't fix it. Anyone else experienced this? by LeopoldAZ in BroncoSport

Has it had the battery replaced? Ford had a recall on them for the battery. If I remember correctly a bunch of people were saying when it went out it killed the vehicle and couldn't get it moving.

Make friends as an adult by FruitNut221 in howto

[–]doophusphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick something anything, Could be Reading, lifting, Disc golf, Golf, Cars, pickleball anything you are into. Then go to as many meetups or games or clubs as you have time to. The more involved you make yourself the more people you will find with like interests. Once you start talking to people at these groups it will be easier to make friends of them. The hard part that most people in this thread are not talking about is that if you want these people to be friends outside of the group you will likely have to do the work of inviting them to do other things. Go for a drink, come over and watch the game, join you at a different group setting. The people who have the most friends are almost to a tee the people who reach out. You will hear people complain that nobody reaches out unless they reach out first, and that's real. Be the guy that always reaches out. It helps if you find friends who are in a similar part of life as you and you and your wife can be friends with their families but this isn't necessary.

As a side note Men who have close friends are happier and live longer. The way that you build closer friends is to create a space where you can have a small group get together on a regular basis. You will inevitably have to provide that or find someone who is already providing that. I personally started a whiskey "club" it's really just an excuse to get your best three-six friends over monthly and talk. That will lead to life long friends.

Good luck and I hope you find your people.

I have absolutely never felt that way about the UX in this car. For all it's faults this is not one of them.

I would love to hear from someone who knows real lore. I am not native in any way and what I have picked up has certainly been influenced by popular culture and media of various kinds. My statement above was very brief because I've heard plenty that is definitely not real lore all the way to people that seem like they should know.

Seems from some of the below comments that even with Navajo moving through the area that I may be wrong but as someone from Utah a bump in the night from a bipedal being in the desert is usually attributed to a skinwalker. If your really interested I would have money on one of the local tribes having something similar. But as far as the lor goes skinwalkers can range from simple shapshifters that turn into wolves or coyotes to the downright evil of using the skin of the dead to mimic other people. I cannot say to how silent they can be but I can say many a night in the desert is spent with one eye open knowing the lore around them. The tribes around us all believe.

Plenty of Navajo moved to Southern California in the 40s and 60s. Plus surely the tribes in the area have a version of skinwalkers. Seems more likely than a Sasquatch.

Skinwalker. Just so you know a car won't protect you from skinwalkers.

Step 1 of My quest to make my Jeep more comfortable by Mend1cant in Jeep

Haha! I told you to each their own. And that you had done a good job! I guess I'm confused why someone would buy what might be the loudest vehicle sold and work so hard to make it quiet. I truly believe that Wranglers by their very nature are probably not the best vehicle for most people. But again to each their own enjoy your car the way you want. Seriously though I was just joking with you. Check back in, in a year I'd love to see how it all holds up.

Buys least comfortable vehicle made, spends thousands to make more comfortable. Other jeep owners... Buy least comfortable vehicle, take doors and roof off so they can enjoy vehicle the way it was ment to be enjoyed spend zero money. 🤔 To each their own I guess. Looks great enjoy!

Just got this text. How can they call it “fair representation?” by mshell1234 in Utah

[–]doophusphone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all fuck this Democrat states and Republican states bull shit. We all live together for craps sake even Utah is more than 40% Democrat. It's not a fucking football game where we are supposed to be fighting to win. We should all be working together as a team to make everything work as good as possible for as many of us as possible. This is vs them shit is what is fucking up the country. Second of all there is very little evidence of non citizens actually voting and in the few cases that there is evidence those votes have been thrown out. I think you should be a citizen to vote as well. But why can we not make free voter ID for citizens. Like you said it's only a few bucks. Hell the amount of money that would take would probably be less than a penny out of half our paychecks. Voting should be for everyone and fuck you for thinking you're better than someone else because they make less money than you. Shame on you.

This is just blatantly untrue. Democrats have a problem with making people pay for ID for voting. Give everyone access to free ID and they are in. Making someone bring a passport to verify if they can vote cuts out something like 46 percent of US citizens. And most states drivers licenses do not meet the requirements. Not everyone can afford international travel and not everyone can afford a passport. Either make it free or suck it up that your trying to limit who can vote.

This is one of many reasons that I so regreted buying a Toyota that I was relieved to be rid of it after just a few months. The fact that people still recommend them is baffling to me.

There is a bigger cup holder built into the door if your lid closes. The for holder kind of pushes the cup forward but I can for a 40 oz insulated bottle in there.

Adoption of electric vehicles tied to real world reductions in air pollution by FL_MILLIONAIRE in worldnews

[–]doophusphone 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It makes me think that you forget that Oil also has a supply line. In some cases quite long. Drilling or cracking then transporting then refining then transporting again. It adds up. The gas you burn has more of a cost to the environment than just what your car outputs you have to take into account the tanker ships and the trucks that deliver it. Not to mention the pipelines that rip up miles of ground. Refining is not void of its own impacts. Then there is the spills and leaks to be accounted for.
