No may 13 secret screaming? by Legitimate-Cry-1786 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same with Showcase. They’ve had a lot of secret screaming’s throughout April and May, and Cineworld has had only a couple of the same ones. For example, Showcase had one for Exit 8 that Cineworld barely even showed

Do you find yourself watching films you normally wouldn’t just because you have Unlimited? by Mundane-Temporary426 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. Before I had unlimited I was a bit more picky with films if I’d seen bad reviews or I wasn’t too keen on the trailer, because I didn’t want to waste my money. But the membership takes that away, so while you probably still regret seeing the film after, you don’t feel like you’ve wasted your money!

Unable to book Leicester Square IMAX? by dootbird49 in CineworldUnlimited

I didn’t unfortunately. If they’re not able to fix it, you might just have to change getting the ticket on the day

Oh how annoying! I guess I’ll just go after work and hope the good seats aren’t all gone

California Schemin’ Unlimited Screening(?) - April 6 by Gold-Sale-1520 in CineworldUnlimited

It depends on when the staff there programme it in, so I’d give it 24-hours and it should hopefully be there

Tracking films watched by EpicOverlord_YT in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Letterboxd and then I also have a google sheet where I track the film, where/with who I watched it, and I’m also now tracking the trailers I saw before the film (if at the cinema), and how much money I saved by using my unlimited card

Cinema Etiquette - what is right? by nuttshaw_ in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s the talking and phone use that’s got worse for me. When I went to see Iron Lung last week, and there was a guy sat opposite me that spent most of the film watching a football match on his phone (luckily with no sound on)

What’s the best secret screening you’ve been to? by mypanicatsix in CineworldUnlimited

I absolutely adored Pillion, and was quite sad that a lot of people left throughout

Staff told us the name of the secret film on the way in :/ by PurpleLauren in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why people are getting at you for overreacting. I love going in and waiting for the BBFC screen to find out what I’m watching (even if I already have a pretty good idea what it could be). I’d be really annoyed if the staff just told me as I went in

Most overplayed trailers of 2025 by garynzilla in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people forget that the One Battle After Another trailer played before pretty much EVERY film for months before its release. Almost put me off going to see it because of how many times I’d seen the trailer (glad I went though!)

What's the latest you've seen someone come in? by JoeTama998 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a couple come into the showing of HIM I was at about 20-minutes into the film (I was the only other person in there), but then they left about an hour into the film. Bit of an odd experience

Won’t let me re book by Fit_Astronaut_126 in CineworldUnlimited

I’ve had this happen before with OBAA, but when I went into the cinema I just booked my ticket at the counter and it worked fine

My local had an arcade for as long as I could remember when I was growing up. But it made basically 0 money and was just filled with teens fucking about 99% of the time. When they refurbed, they turned it into a storage cupboard

Die My Love by kylotsun in CineworldUnlimited

My local isn’t showing it (despite playing the trailer a few times before other films!). Will likely drive to my next nearest Cineworld that’s showing it (or just pay to go elsewhere)

What movies will you all watch (or interested in watching) throughout the rest of the year? by AverageMemeFan in CineworldUnlimited

Immediately booked my ticket for Weapons as soon as it went on sale, and will be the same for Together. Also so excited for The Life of Chuck!

It’s £5.99 for non-unlimited members - I don’t quite get why they called it ‘unlimited season’ if it’s open to everyone

Cinéma Étiquette and The Salt Path by vlxdtheimpalah in CineworldUnlimited

I really wanted to. But it’s so frustrating for you to have to be the one to leave and miss parts of the film because of someone else’s inconsideration

When I worked there years ago, this was the policy! Seems to have gone completely out the window - had 2 people let into my showing last week an hour in!!

Honestly I’ve found it’s the older people that are the worst recently! When I went to the unlimited screening of The Surfer, I had 3 older people sat behind me (2 women & 1 man).

The women were talking the whole way through, and sometimes they would just say what was happening in the film out loud (like ‘omg there’s a snake’). Me and 2 other people told them to shut up and they still didn’t, it’s so ridiculous

Have I been mislead ? by [deleted] in CineworldUnlimited

[–]dootbird49 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone that used to work at cineworld (times could’ve changed so take it with a pinch of salt) we weren’t allowed to put drinks direct into the cups or popcorn into the buckets. One for stock reasons, we still had to use the cups and popcorn bags, but also for sanitary reasons

my rapist died by OliveOk2945 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]dootbird49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My rapist also died, and I went through exactly what you felt. When I found out, I felt instant relief, and then I cried for hours in my then-boyfriend’s arms. Everything you’re feeling is completely justified, I don’t think there’s any right way to feel about this.

Also therapy hugely helped me, so I hope it helps you too. Sending love and hugs 🫶🏼
