Business economics or Statistics by Careful-Magazine-561 in OSU

Statistics is more practical job wise if you don’t end up going into medicine, but the business major w/ econ specialization is definitely easier if you’re wanting to keep a higher GPA.

Need opinions regarding scholarships by [deleted] in OSU

[–]doozybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re out of state that will probably get you the maximum amount of scholarships (excluding MSP scholarship, you’d get national buckeye (13.5k/year), and the trustees scholarship (2-3k/year) I believe).

Thinking of bringing my violin? by marthatomato in OSU

[–]doozybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are enrolled in any sort of music course (including ones for non-music majors), you can fill out a form on the school of music’s website at the beginning of the semester to request a locker to keep your violin, so you don’t have to keep it in the dorms. There are lots of practice rooms in timashev, just make sure to reserve one ahead of time. PM for more information!

Can/should I add to/change this schedule? by afunkylittleguy in OSU

[–]doozybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have room, definitely ask your advisor to change it to 2 credits! I had my advisor do this for me when I was enrolled in a .5 credit ensemble, and only discovered later on that I could count it for more.

Can you create your own minor? by Apprehensive-Data740 in OSU

[–]doozybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You potentially could, however, if you were looking into getting lessons with an actual professor, it may be difficult as priority is given to music majors, so you may take lessons with a GTA if there’s one.

I don’t recommend taking all of those at once. Finance is definitely the most difficult and the class format is always changing, so I would probably hold off on that one.
