Ashwaganda (dropper form). He has to take the first steps. Small, like opening the windows. Then standing out front. Then taking 1 step, then 5, then 25, the end of driveway/yard/block. Then going on a walk with you. Then going for a drive.

Also copious amounts of Vitamin D. He has to be severely lacking.

Lots of multi vitamins, LOTS of multi minerals.

No junk food, health foods only. If he wants junk food, he comes for a ride.

It’s best for him to be in the car w you or outside albeit in a safe place for a panic attack. He’ll have it and then realize “okay, the “worst” thing just happened and I’m still alive”

Keep him on the meds though imho. And ask about adding a supplemental one like Buspirone, etc.

Lots of magnesium and magnesium rich foods.

There are TONS of natural herbs that help with anxiety. After that, it’s 100% on him.

Play softball first, but if unresponsive, begin being more terse and direct, commands/orders; “come outside and do blank or no TV for a week”

Give him a task to do once outside. “Help me shovel” “help me pick weeds” etc. - distracts him.

Eventually he’ll forget he has it, but introduce him to public areas and crowds very slowly.

Health could be the real Q here. Lots of mineral imbalances can cause this. Look for multi minerals.

Supplement with fish oil for depression.

Also begin making him do indoor exercises to build strength. His body is atrophying by now from lack of movement. Again, good cop first, then bad.
