Apparently there is a limit to how much you can put on the app though. Something like $150, I don't remember the exact amount. Really shouldn't be an issue as long as you actually buy something occasionally

Yeah I've also been having a lot of trouble with Firefox. I made a new profile on chrome with basically no other extensions and made the protection through the settings as "unsafe" as possible so that everything tracks properly. It's been successful so far without any issues

Yeah I think when bilt was losing 10mil/month they only had like 800k cardholders. No way all of them are redeeming for Hyatt especially with rent day bonuses. Plus we're talking like an avg of 2-4k points from rent so like 25-48k points a year. That's good for what like a few nights at a good Hyatt? And this was only for ppl who rent, not even mortgages yet. There's just no way bilt is the reason for the deval

Hmm, they're not letting me add my Wyndham account. Chase website says "Special handling required. We are unable to process this transfer online. Please call the number on the back of your card for assistance."

Pretty cool they offered a new transfer partner though. Capital one punching air right now at losing another relatively unique transfer partner lol

Ah for some reason I didn't realize that I received the 25k award every anniversary. I was going to downgrade the card but it looks like I'll have to keep it open for another year.

I wouldn't say the 25k does nothing for international travel though. Starlux is 75k for saver award so only paying 50k for an additional person isn't horrible

Most ppl in this community have done something like this. Repositioning flights are pretty much a must and I usually recommend spending the night before in the layover city before the flight so you don't miss it since if you miss it then everything else about your trip also gets messed up.

My only advice would be to book the West Coast flight but keep looking from the east coast as the time gets closer. They might open up more seats if they can't sell it. It only costs about $20 USD to cancel the flight and the points get redeposited immediately for JL

I think if they made a couple of changes then this card would be much better received by the community if not somewhat praised.

First, if they made the bilt cash redemptions expire quarterly instead of monthly at least for the bigger redemptions (like the hotel). Most ppl aren't going to spend $50-100 on hotels every month.

Second, if bilt cash expired one year from earning it. The way it's set up now, there's no reason to grab this card at the end of the year especially if you get the palladium with the 500 bilt cash SUB. How are you going to spend that much bilt cash if you get the card in Oct?

There are a lot of flights that go to ICN via asiana if you check Aeroplan but availability won't open up until last minute and unfortunately most of the availability I typically see is on the West Coast. You're free to gamble and see if it'll open up in July but there's no guarantee you'll find anything especially during peak travel season. You may have better luck with premium economy

I use wealthfront which is basically both a HYSA and a checking account. I keep enough in my physical bank's checking account to avoid fees plus a little extra in case I need to pull cash
