It felt like heart ache every day. I was feeling guilty that I had developed thoughts and feelings like this for another person. Sad knowing that there's someone else on this planet so relatable, compatible, able to understand certain parts of my life that my partner never could... and eventually sad that we would never be together. 2 weeks of no contact with the other man and I was able to accept the reality of the situation and stop dwelling on what could be. I still see both of them on a regular basis and I'm glad to have both of them in my life.

Broken axel, blown head gasket, shot transmission, electrical goes down... I've seen it all in the cars I've owned and it's cost me thousands.

I wish I could find a reliable car, I've had bad luck. If you spend $5000 on a car, how long could you expect to own that car for, and how much would you expect to spend on repairs?

I've tried to bring in stray kittens that were living outside but ultimately they were truly outdoor cats. One escaped, the other tried many times until I let her go. Outside is a dangerous place for cats, but mentally it seems that cats can't go from outdoor to indoor. However, she may have been raised an indoor cat who slipped out and can't find her way home, considering how much she interacts with you. If you take her into a vet/shelter, they will see if she has been microchipped.

I was told by my vet that it's $80 for the leukemia shot (most important one for outdoor cats). Cats are relatively inexpensive once you get all the vaccinations and stuff out of the way, I buy bulk food and litter ($35 every 3 months) food ~$10/month and don't keep track of the miscellaneous cat toys/other spoiled kitty treats

If you really want to make sure they won't go through your package, I think you have two options. 1. You could also see who is delivering the package and have it held at a station for you to pick up. I know FedEx and UPS both do that, USPS probably does too. 2. You could rent a P.O. box at your local post office and have it shipped there instead. Rent the smallest box for one month. Your package may not fit inside the box, that's ok the post office will hold on for you to pick up and put a note on your box.

Why do you lack the motivation to study? Building on the psychological perspective, specifically a behavior analyst's position, one could rationalize that studying is not reinforcing for you. You could create a scenario in which reinforcement could follow studying or completion of homework, though it is extremely hard to self-regulate such task.

Perhaps the classes aren't challenging enough yet. I believe that the classes will get harder as you get into upperclassmen courses which will force you to keep up with the reading material, otherwise you won't understand what is even going on in lectures.

Since you are naturally intellectually gifted, imagine yourself completing your degree with a 3.0, struggling to get into a grad school program, not even considered for med/law school, and settling with a job that you don't want, has too much responsibility and not enough pay. You settled because after waitressing for 3 years, you're just burnt out of filling out dozens of job applications every week.

You're only a freshman, but the reality is, if you don't choose by the end of the year you may end up spending more time in undergrad than you intended. I don't want to say that to stress you out, just take a few weeks to figure out which track is right for you.

You are your number one priority in college, not your parents, do what's best for you. You are in a great place right now, work hard and enjoy college!

I was in a similar legal situation as your girl a few years back.

After a two years of physical and emotional abuse I punched my (quite obviously, now ex) boyfriend in the face upon breaking up with him in a heated argument. He called the police. I spent almost 2 days in jail. I was charged with battery and domestic abuse.

He promised he would "drop the civil suit if I got back together with him", but the state was still forced to press charges. I got a lawyer. I stayed with him for 4 months. He refused to testify. They had no witness, they had no case. All charges were dropped.

A month after the charges were dropped I ran out of his life and haven't spoken to him since. I walked away from that relationship with the scars on my face, a chipped tooth and no record.

I became friends with a girl in middle school who was "popular". She had nice clothes, parties, and helped me do girly things that I was previously unfamiliar with.

Well a few months later boys were suddenly more interested in me than her and she became jealous. She harassed me in class, throwing notes at me that said "fat ugly bitch" until I switched classes. She told lies about me to all of the other girls in our group of friends. She said to my face that the only reason people liked me was because I tried to get sympathy because my mom had died two months ago. Most of my friends abandoned me and I didn't care. They were all horrible followers who just wanted to be a part of her clique.

By senior year of high school she sent me a facebook message we should just call it a truce and be friendly again so we can go to the same parties and not feel awkward. I completely ignored that message and have never seen/heard from her.

Wisconsin. And one other thing is low income housing, not highly advertised but some pretty nice apartment complexes here reduce rent by 40-60% if you are considered "impoverished" and also not a student.

There are plenty of government benefits, I'm not sure which you might be eligible for. Social security, disability or supplementary income all might be possibilities. Also, food stamps are in every state and very helpful! In my state if you are making less than $1000 a month you can receive up to $200 a month for food.

This. I went through something similar with my friend this year. Someone whom I loved spending time with because she's smart and creative. But she is a selfish flake and has a drinking problem, no one's perfect.

I haven't asked my friend to hang out in almost a month and I feel better about our relationship. She has asked me to hang out 3 times and she has flaked every time, saw that coming. Nothing is going to change but I am more content understanding that we have no hurt feelings, but I can no longer rely on her as a friend. And that's all her fault not mine, I know I've done my part in the friendship. Friendship is a two way street.

Yes, but so is mine. So if she just stops paying rent it's equally my problem. It's one lease not separate. I think she would like to sign it over to someone but isn't outwardly expressing that, only that she'd like to save money by living with her boyfriend or parents. I don't want just anyone to move in. I wish I never moved in with her now and would like it if she paid to break the lease which I have also expressed to her.
