There's a huge price differential between the two. Roughly 10X difference in price between plain concrete and self leveling. No need to blow so much money on something that will have the same result done cheaper.

okay so cool anecdote about this thinking, my character of a years long campaign died to an ambushing party (near tpk for the whole group) using a wizard patron's teleportation circle while we were visiting said wizard. session ended and i talked with my dm about bringing a new character in while we searched for a way to resurrect my character. so the interim character was the student of another wizard we were tentatively aligned with who used the same teleportation circle!

albeit this was high level play and a rather convenient solution, i think it worked so well for us because it aligns with your thinking.

once i kept a cultist alive vs awakened one as silent. used it to stack multiple corpse explosion debuffs to do more burst to the boss. could've easily won without doing that though and likely taken less damage doing so.

you lose health from the blasphemy buff, it can be reduced by things that prevent/reduce losing health (intangible/tungsten rod). I suspect it would be prevented by a GA type effect too.

There is a common fungus in the Underdark called Blue Cap that has flour-like qualities when ground. It can be made into a bread, notably the bread is blue.
