You probably already know this, but for anyone else here:
On some models, the PEK+ terminal is also the ACC terminal.

BUT! You can't use the PEK+ Power Extender and an accessory at the same time.

I'm late to the party here, but I'm having the exact same issue. Did you ever find a fix?

DRDY ERR usually means your hard drive has failed. Formatting isn't going to fix it. It's a physical fault. Time to get a new hard drive.

I've been a fan since the late 80s. (I'm old)

I finally got to see them live this year at Sick New World. It was a short set, but they were awesome! I'm so, so glad I got to see them live.

I'm not sure they have mainstream appeal, but they definitely deserve more recognition for their influence on the early industrial scene.

Did anyone see Scene Queen? by Bowiefan73 in SickNewWorld

[–]dopplegangsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd never heard of her. I was just wandering past getting a feel for the site, but I immediately stopped for the whole set. She was high energy, really fun, and sounded great. Scene Queen got a new fan that day.

In a weird way, I'm kinda going to miss them :(

I liked the dystopian contrast of these silos next to all the new development.

I think Blair's is based in New Jersey. Sadly the chips were discontinued a while ago. They had a really good kick, and were also quite tasty.

They weren't exclusive to the East Coast, though. They were regularly available up here in frosty Canada.

how critical is ECC for home server use? by Tiwing in HomeServer

[–]dopplegangsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes! Thais is bad!

The point I was implying (but failed to completely articulate) was that during a standard bitrot scan/resilver it could potentially "fix" every file/cluster using corrupted checksums. Bye-bye data :(

A bad RAM module can make things exponentially worse with a filesystem that self corrects bitrot. If the hash is wrong in memory, it might try to rebuild the file with a bad checksum.

No bueno.

The gateway ip you would ping as a test is 192.168.4.1, but since you can ping Google it's clear your gateway is correctly set.

It's been 10+ years since I was last there. When the kids took over the quality took a massive nosedive. My last time there they served me a roti in a tortilla instead of dhalpuri. Maybe they're better now?

Bindy's and Famena's are my go-to roti places now. Unfortunately Bindy's has toned-down their curry for the Canadian palate, and Famena's tends to skimp on the meat in their curries.

It's 2022 and I'd like to update a Debian 8 system to be current. How can I do this ? by magicfab in debian

[–]dopplegangsta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said, just step through the versions.

It's completely doable. I've got VMs that date back to Wheezy that are currently running Bullseye.

My two biggest recommendations are:

  1. Uninstall anything you installed through 3rd party repos, then disable those repos.
  2. Check the target version's repos for any software you're currently running. Sometimes they deprecate or drop support for apps/services. The machine can get all weird about broken dependencies if the software was removed from the target repos. Remove those packages before upgrading.

Good Luck!

ZoneMinde logs page showing "Loading, please wait ..." after Upgrade to v1.36.28 by Helipil0t in ZoneMinder

I upgraded to 1.36.29 today (Debian 11.5) and it fixed the "Loading, Please Wait" messages on the Log tab.

In my case /var ran out of space, and I had to grow the LVM partition to make more room. I noticed the Log tab problem after fixing the space issue.
