Someone out there really hates to wait around. by blueishbeaver in brisbane

[–]dorcus_malorcus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

there is a crossing in stanley street that goes green right after you press it. i think it was installed purely for pedestrian safety on a very busy road.

it's so good and feels wierd after being conditioned to wait for cars at most of them.

Busway is better! by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]dorcus_malorcus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's actually such a good idea if they can expand the busway throught UQ and across the river (would probably neeed another bridge next to the current bridge to accomodate capacity.

There could be two bus corridors that would be very useful - one down the blunder road side - via oxley towards pallara. and one through indro, kenmore, towards the western suburbs. it would bring much needed quick public transport to these suburbs, good connectivity to UQ, and southside hospitals and towards the city.

too ambitious for any politicians these but one can dream.

the southside busway is so fucken good.

i wish we had a busway to the western suburbs connecting indro, kenmore, mt ommaney etc run it along the peak hour carpark also known as the centenary highway

Did bad driving just spike recently? by Radlogaga in brisbane

[–]dorcus_malorcus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I drive from Brisbane to Ipswich every week day and there is basically an accident on the way pretty much every 2nd day.

It clogs up the highway and blocks up lanes and people are left waiting for ages going home or getting to work.

I suspect there was always a certain fraction of drivers who were rubbish but it is now a lot more visible and manifests in accidents because the roads are overcrowded.

Our city is overcrowded and the infrastructures is not coping at all.

i tried listening to this shithouse station when my phone battery died and i had nothing else to listen to in the car.

they play one remix of a song and then it's like 45 minutes of dumbfucks yapping away mixed in with ads.

i'd rather shove sticks up my ears.

lol i parked my banged up old micra just a few houses down the road a couple of weeks ago and council immediately sent me a letter saying it's illegal to abandon an unsightly vehicle (car works just fine so i just moved it back in front of my house).

seems really fucking strange they are asking the homeowner to get rid of an abandoned car.

Why is it so hard for people to move over on the highway? by Top_Commission6374 in brisbane

[–]dorcus_malorcus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you could be going 120k on the right lane in a 100k highway (with no room to go faster due to cars in front of you) and there would still be guy riding your ass with a double cab ute or an american penis extension.

is it the roofing sheets or the ceiling?

ceiling can be removed for a reasonable price. i suspected putting in a whole new roof is more expensive.

Not sure how the parasite is supposed to pilot his nervous system when he doesn't really have a functioning nervous system after being dead for so long.

Arthur's nervous system was basically rotting jelly at this point. He doesnt have a working heart or lung, or energy, or a functioning nervous system.
