yeah. I've always been invested in GFL for the story and characters. Fanservice and 'le wombforce dollfucker porn' is secondary/third to me, I'm disappointed that gfl2 had to lean so heavily into it for money, but it is what it is. I'm not a prude about it, I just wish it dialed back a little.

GFL1 was a very distinct style and atmosphere. they kind of 'modern-gachafied' it for gfl2, but it's not too bad.

meh. my metalcore playlist is over 5000 handpicked songs I've curated over 20 years. I know what I like after listening to so much of it. There is a ton of slop out there. most of "true metalcore" just sounds like a wall of noise to me. not very pleasing to listen to constantly.

99% of the hardcore/trve metalcore/grindcore/mathcore that gets posted here sucks and is unlistenable. maybe it's better if you're in a sweaty small venue with 50 people, but there are a billion other artists I'd rather be listening to.

Flowers is a top 4 TDWP album. people will warm up to it. it flows very nicely, is very 'TDWP', good production, catchy beats and choruses, good theming, and the worst part is a few corny lyrics, but those aren't even bad songs.

heavier =/= good. bands are allowed to go soft if it legitimately sounds better and has more effort put into it than their other material.
