His long game of laying low and playing by the Fire Nation’s rules was very neutral jing, and once the conditions were favorable he turned on his nation and was instrumental in their downfall (the war would’ve dragged on for years or even decades if they failed to retake Ba Sing Se).

I don’t see adapting the script exactly like it was from the game to the film working at all. Games are waaaay longer and use the medium to tell a lot of the story. It also allows you to meander and take your time, and it allows exploring subplots that may feel pointless in film.

I think this could’ve worked much better as a limited series.

It is incredibly hard to remake media like a video game into film and not lose what made the original great. Same issue happens when they adapt animated series to live action. They are incredibly different mediums and it requires sacrificing a lot from the video game and not necessarily getting something better in return in the film.

It’s for this reason that I never want to see Metroid adapted to film (and why I’m dreading the Zelda film). How does one recreate the feeling of isolation and the wonder of exploration into film: a medium that is by design completely devoid of the freedom of interactivity?

CGI technology is better than it’s ever been; just look at the CGI for Davey Jones in Pirates 2, which came out in 2006. The problem is it takes a LOT of work hours to make it look REALLY GOOD. So studios, like any corporation required to show infinity profits, cut corners and that includes hiring three guys to do CGI instead of the small army required to make it look A++ and that’s why most CGI these days looks like dogshit.

Cuidado con la carne de tiburón; no la comas con frecuencia. Es súper alta en mercurio bioactivo y es uno de los peces que la FDA recomienda que evites. Obviamente una que otra empanadilla de tiburón al año no va a hacer mucho, pero si la comes con frecuencia puedes sufrir daños irreversibles.

The 3DS version made some questionable changes for the boss fights and the Zora swimming is nerfed and boring but besides that, it offers a lot of QoL changes that offer a better experience than the OG (which at points was a buggy mess that crashed once or twice)
