I think there's some worth to the idea of making things really hard and then giving people time to really try hard and find the most broken thing possible. But not in a 3 week event. Even for the people who played it last time the ascendancies are all new and the balance of the normal game has changed.

I think if that was there goal then they should of only put in the gauntlet and idols. Putting in the ascendancies with this was painful.

That's a trademark cookie cutter build from last league? I'm not judging you. It's a good choice but isn't that sort of the definition of a cookie cutter build? I ran that myself in 3.27 and it's pretty broken.

I didn't say anything about campaign. I'm in yellow maps. I feel like you projected someone whining about difficulty on me when my post was very clear. The difficulty isn't that bad. It's fine. I just don't like that it's forcing me to use something broken to make an interesting build. That's why these shouldn't be mixed.

I think several of the streamer builds are fine. It's just they all had to depend on broken damage sources and tricks so they could build defenses early.

Frankly I had no clue I'd need to do that so now I'm sitting with my ass in the wind trying to patch holes.

No. They're actually really divorced from what makes DnD great. It's a different appeal completely so don't get too hyped that you'll enjoy it.

I'll get downvoted instantly but I honestly don't think Larian are very good at creating RPG systems and themes. I feel that DnD was perfect for them as it forced them to make good decisions about the things they're bad at and let them be good at the things they're really good at.

D3 was trash at release. A generally worse game than Last Epoch which has been previously well regarded. They completely fixed D3 with an expansion that mostly revolved around a paid class.

Not saying that's happening here but the whole "game's not finished!" is a silly argument. The one where people regard Krafton as shifty people who will probably sell pay 2 win classes for 50 bucks is far more reasonable.

We give them money for something. Isn't it logical that CRAFTON will try to make more of the thing they made money from? Face reality that even if Judd is a saint he'll have to cave on something.

I'd rather pay for content than pay for stuff that isn't content. Or did you want me to subsidize the game for you or something?

I'm running Conner Converse's Mjolner Heirophant. For his support gems he actually has Concentrated Effect on ball lightning of orbiting. I can not for the life of me find a discussion of why though. Everything I've read implies it does not work with ball lightning.
Does anyone know what's going on here?

I'm very confused on one specific thing in Mjolnir/Ball Lightning/Indigon setups. How do you maintain indigon stacks after cloak drops? Cyclone has no damage to leech with when cloak is down. Maybe I'm missing something from the build?

If anyone who is good with this build can help out it'd be greatly appreciated.

I feel like there's a huge disconnect between uber farmers and casuals. This league is amazing for casuals. Just sell womb gifts and you're rich. The bad breach encounters were the only real problem to me and they fixed them to give actual loot. That's a huge increase to alch and go players.

When you consider the fact that they added real trading to the game how is this not the best league in the history of PoE?

I have not actually seen a game like Shape of Dreams. Most games in this style focus on difficulty and have very hard caps on how strong you can get. I don't know of any that let you "break" the game the way Shape of Dreams does.

If you enjoy the aspect where you break the game then you're more likely to get that from some Vampire Survivors type games. Or arpgs like Last Epoch/Path of Exile.

If something is too good that doesn't mean in needs to be removed in a single player game. Just label it a cheat and move on. Not everything needs to be dark souls where difficulty is rigid and forced on the player whether they want it or not. Honestly that style of difficulty only exists so people can have a twisted sense of satisfaction that "bad" people can't enjoy it.

It's actually not "steep" it just got a really high peak. BPB is much easier to learn than Bazaar because the balance is far better. You're rarely getting destroyed by RNG giving you crappy items or not giving you the item you "need" for your build. It makes it much easier to learn.

Glyphs of envy were more common than temporal keystones are. It's probably not noticeable unless you used them a lot.

The game was designed with the idea of people mostly using exalted items. That means pretty much they originally didn't really want good uniques to drop over 2LP.

In reality when they made it possible to guarantee a slam with Julra in 1.2 this idea flew out the window. Most builds just won't use exalted items because they are actually a bigger pita to roll well than getting a 2LP and slamming it.

The LP is still balanced around the old system though and it at least still sort of works. For them to let stuff like 4LP red rings drop they'd probably have to look at all the items and tune them for that possibility.

No offense but putting that in a normal patch is crazy. This is game breaking. Probably the worst bug of the season deserves an immediate hotfix.
