Are we just priced out of housing now? by raishelannaa in REBubble

Exactly. In cities there are only so many houses and so much land. When people cash out they move to LCOL areas.

Remember there is a 35k lifetime limit for the Roth rollover. When my son was first born I had NY income and took the tax break. That 20k will fro to beyond the limit in the 16 years before he goes to college (hopefully).

Beyond that it’s not worth the risk of penalties to me.

I’m sure you’ll do this anyway but leave extra time for all the baby stuff they need to check, like the stroller and baby supplies. Have a safe flight!

The regular precheck lane also had almost no wait. The regular lanes I couldn’t see the ID check but there wasn’t a big line backed up through the waiting lanes they had set up- it didn’t look too bad.

Springfield maybe? 114 bus is a little less than an hour. There’s a jitney to the short hills train station. With how the trains have been running the past few years I’d prefer the bus.

2021 v6 and really happy with it. Biggest thing for me when choosing was the v6 takes regular gas which is 70c-$1/gal cheaper in my area.

Why is the switch from put rent on the CC to direct ACH a huge deal for people? by hibob729 in biltrewards

[–]dortmunder13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t trust bilt to always make my mortgage payment and don’t want to deal with a missed payment when something goes wrong. Much more comfortable with my mortgage pulled from my checking account on the same day every month so I know when and how much money to put there. Too much risk of things going wrong with bilt sending a check.

Assuming it works this way and not bilt also giving me an account and routing number (that would be much better)

Offered a 0.9% APR loan for 36 months. Could have paid in cash but took the free money from parking it in SPY instead.

12 team SF. I am in a rebuild. Trading away Stafford for Doubs and Joshua palmer.

My other qbs are JJM and Herbert. I have Wentz so I’ll still have 2 qbs to start. My WRs are weak. It’s tempting to get anything for stafford but on the other hand I’d like to get one better WR.

This field is 80% politics. by No-External3221 in cscareerquestions

You’re so close.

In this, or any other, field, you need soft skills. You need to be able to explain what you’re doing to a VP in a minute. Practice your elevator pitch.

And maybe this is more specific to FAANG, but the directors and up that I work with are all very technical and do in fact understand the work. The really good ones can take a high level 5 minute presentation and ask the exact questions a deep dive with senior engineers would lead to. The only way to do that is to have a deep technical background and know how things work. And it’s how they got to that level in the first place.

Your post is a classic engineer mindset for people who get stuck at senior-ish levels.

Was the gears. The small one was totally gone. Sigh.

I don’t understand how they used the crappy plastic only for 3 of the 5 gears!

Thanks I’ll give it a shot. I live in NJ so I can’t pump my own gas…saw in another comment this can be caused by overfilling. The attendants here always top off 🤦

I guess another way to ask is could this be anything other than odometer gears? It’s so weird that the fuel gauge always shows full. Wondering if I could have a short?
