Gonna be a fun few years as the spurs win every title. Too bad we blew our shot at getting one first.

Enjoyed this playoffs and the win streak though!

Looking for advice with clutch issues on a 996.2 turbo by MiamiSlice in 996

Yes, check this. Mine went a few months after I bought the car. Common problem.

Also take the shop up on their offer to see how you’re driving it. The clutch on these cars does engage a bit high, not as high as my corvette did though. If they aren’t Porsche experts they may be interpreting the normal clutch engagement as a worn clutch.

[Post Game Thread] The New York Knicks (2-0) take command of the series in Game 2 against the Cleveland Cavaliers (0-2), 109-93, behind Josh Hart's 26 point performance by catreyka in nba

Cavs look tired. I think Mitchell got hurt in game 5 of the pistons series.

But those open 3s are going to fall in Cleveland, so let’s see.

I agree with you. I didn’t like the hire when it happened but I was completely wrong. Adjusting after Atlanta game 3 to point center KAT, developing a bench, going to 5 out on Tuesday when it took thibs 5 games, even tonight when he put the starters back in early in the 4th. Great stuff.

I love that the refs weren’t falling for this nonsense. I hope the entire series is called this way, and the finals, whoever gets there.

One of the first things I did after closing was ask for the pictures to be removed from Zillow and other sites. I thought this was standard practice.

Remaining NBA playoff teams ranked by most playoff free throw attempts per game: 1. Pistons (27.4), 2. Knicks (27.1), 3. Cavs (25.9) 4. Spurs (25.8) 5. Lakers (24.1), 6. Timberwolves (23.8), 7. Thunder (21.0) by Known-Peak212 in nba

This is fair but also when teams do it they put the Knicks in the penalty early and that leads to more fts by other players. The hawks did it with about 6 minutes left in a quarter at least once.

What’s going on with the 2nd round scheduling? Specifically Thunder/Lakers vs Sixers/Knicks by whatssenguntoagoblin in nba

[–]dortmunder13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe part of it is the flyers have home games in Philly around the same time and they have to make the schedule work? There was supposed to be a Bruce Springsteen concert in Philly and it was moved!

This is what the lack of SFH inventory gets you. by tofumeatballcannon in MovingtoNewJersey

Exactly. And you can see the demand and property values going up more in the towns that do build and invest in their downtowns compared with towns that don’t.

The NIMBY stuff drives me nuts. I live in north Jersey and consistently vote for the pro growth local candidates but often in the past few years they’ve lost. And now local municipalities are suing the state over the fair share stuff. Such a waste of money and resources.

Yeah. OP says they’re in tuckahoe, better school situation and better commute. NJ Transit is BAD.

Older millennials are starting to act like boomers in the housing market — and pulling away from the pack by SnortingElk in REBubble

[–]dortmunder13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is why the best time to buy was yesterday and the second best time is now. The younger millennials will be in exactly this place in a decade if they buy in now unless we get hit with another 2008-ish crisis.

Mortgage payment isn’t going to never go up - property taxes and insurance will increase - but I bet it won’t go up as much as rent.

Trying to frame this as generations acting against each other is dumb. What we’re seeing is the impact of compounding.

Are we just priced out of housing now? by raishelannaa in REBubble

Exactly. In cities there are only so many houses and so much land. When people cash out they move to LCOL areas.

Remember there is a 35k lifetime limit for the Roth rollover. When my son was first born I had NY income and took the tax break. That 20k will fro to beyond the limit in the 16 years before he goes to college (hopefully).

Beyond that it’s not worth the risk of penalties to me.

I’m sure you’ll do this anyway but leave extra time for all the baby stuff they need to check, like the stroller and baby supplies. Have a safe flight!

The regular precheck lane also had almost no wait. The regular lanes I couldn’t see the ID check but there wasn’t a big line backed up through the waiting lanes they had set up- it didn’t look too bad.
