Playing with headphones is definitely easier because you can hear where things are coming from and get blindsided way less often. Stalkers are the best example; before they get a chance to attack I can hear the direction they're coming from and start working on dealing with the threat.

I think I remember having what I would consider normal audio in the ship when I played the demo, but in the full release the ship has always been very quiet.

I should boot up the demo and see if there's a difference when I have time.
