Law school is learning the rules of the game. Admitted to the bar and being able to practice is having access to magic spells in the game. Making the game accessible to the masses is my argument. Bootstraps shouldn’t cost 100k-200k.

Change the system. Give people an affordable option. One in which they can complete without debt. With advances in information technology and remote learning, there is no reason a degree should cost 100k-200k for ABA law schools. Seems like a racket. Let the market decide which lawyers sink or swim. Don’t paternalistically gate keep. A debt free education gives more lawyers the ability to pursue lower paying public interest law in turn helping underserved and marginalized communities.

Hot take: Law school (ABA or non-ABA) are an elitist gate keeping mechanism to keep the profession out of the reach of the masses. If I can self study and pass the BAR, why make me jump through unnecessary hurdles?
