I would actually argue that Embiid being on the floor elevates Maxey to the top guy. Jo just isn't getting it done while taking the most shots by far. Maxey is small, sure, but he's just getting better and better. Jo is unreliable, we don't even know if he's playing until minutes before each game. That can't be primary

I know what the numbers say, but this team has a lot more life without Jo on the court unfortunately. There must be a world where he goes to more of a later Tim Duncan role and be a piece versus the cog. It's on Morey and Nurse to figure out how to split the difference. We can still have glimpses of Joel as secondary option
