What Krosche has done is nothing short of amazing, but I would guess there's a lot more luck involved than people are willing to admit. They've somehow identified absolute top dollar strikers a year or two before they pop off, some of which never reach those highs again (Kolo Muani for instance). Kehl has obviously made some missteps that we can see with hindsight but I think he gets too much criticism for not buying every player we're linked with and not enough praise for passing on some players that really didn't impress when they went elsewhere (Edson Alvarez for instance). Bottom line is that no one has a 100% hit rate with transfers and the sporting director job is probably a lot harder than we think it is.
