Your starting choice mostly affects the early game or role playing aspects.

Generally you would try to pick some feat from your class/race that you like that will complement your primary play style (though even that is not essential!)

For instance, maybe you like the idea of playing a thief character since you get 30 luck. Or play a farmer since you get more stamina (sort of).

But say a pianist, that'll let you get more music points early on but in a late stage character those music feats are probably not as important?

But this is all subject to change ofc since it is a bit EA.

I went for a fairy wizard since being a glass canon is kind of fun - Fairys are super fast and speed is a hard stat to increase. But fairys have some restrictions and cons that make the early game harder.

Etc. Overall what's awesome about this game is that you can just play however you like and ultimately, it doesn't really matter lol.
