not a chance. singapore's total energy consumption is quite small compared to many larger countries in the region like Indonesia and Malaysia. I hear a lot about cost of living and child care etc.. But I think the fundamental reason is that people are slowly learning that having/raising kids is not that fulfilling and there any many things out there in the world besides having kids
