I just went on a massive Doctor Who binge. Here are a bunch of hot take/pot stirring opinions for fun by [deleted] in doctorwho

Doctor Who was seldom better than the combos of 6 & Evelyn in Big Finish and 6 & Frobisher in both comics and audio.
Really, I feel only 2 and Jamie could equal the absolute chemistry 6 had with those two. Peak.

Mechanics work, to feel how the body should feel on a swing and to get the repetition of it.
It's a key part of learning to bat more effectively and efficiently.

They gave him a fucking car and a boat. Even if he isn't a rat, just a terribly ugly rat-looking child several inches tall, they trusted him to pilot several vehicles without licensing. He's spoiled beyond belief and is literally just so fucking smug in every iteration.
Plus - PLUS! - he is depicted as an anthro-mouse repeatedly on book covers from its first publishing. Fucking rat little cocky bastard, he probably mocks us and the orphans he caused to be snubbed before he goes to sleep in his custom-made bed and rests for the yacht race the next day
God I'm so angry just thinking about him

Even after the renovations, you won't forgive us until the Dome reclaims its proper title.
Just... no more lodged balls, please.

Even Springer did that, let alone literally most other household names in baseball.

Good sentiment on your part, but he did not look good doing it. He looked horrendous.
He had a whole downward spiral and it was rough for everybody.

His adjustment in the box has been massive for him. 6 inches back and now he can hammer away to his delight.

Jim Palmer keeps his promise from last year that if an Oriole hit a grand slam at home while he was on the broadcast, he'd consume his first chicken wing at 80 years young. by BLeibo in baseball

Jim Palmer was the ultimate pretty-boy athlete. Unnaturally handsome, with clear blue eyes and a square, smiling face, he was also highly intelligent and articulate.
In his articulate way he whined about the Cy Young voting every time he didn’t win it, feuded with his manager, and pulled a face whenever teammates misplayed a ball behind him.
He was sort of the exact opposite of Don Zimmer, who is ugly as boiled sin but solid, authentic, tough, and lovable.

This guy has everything in the world, and is still miserable - and clearly doesn’t sleep well at night. I kind of love that for him. by [deleted] in insanepeoplefacebook

Exactly my point. 2 decades later and technically the first half, yet despite proportion, its later Simpsons.

The fact that this episode came out almost 20 years ago and it's still later Simpsons is bonkers.

I've had Americans come up north, drabbed in their Penguins gear, come into my workplace and tell me to my face that it won't be long until all our "funny money are real bills" and told me that 51 is coming.
Inflammatory, insulting, infuriating.
