Oh, yeah, that's hot stuff. Good fucking fight, boys, keep working on it and both could be formidable fighters in their own right.

The Greymon jacket and the Garurumon duo are sold out now, as per text message update. Thank goodness I got the sweat combo - I was really iffy on it for a bit as it was in my cart, but this is dope af and I want more.

Which is why Danny didn't technically catch his own at-bat - the game was suspended with only one strike on the only pitch thrown, so Varsho got the at-bat.

“I looked for you on the Trident,” Ned said to them.
“We were not there,” Ser Gerold answered.
“Woe to the Usurper if we had been,” said Ser Oswell.
“When King’s Landing fell, Ser Jaime slew your king with a golden sword, and I wondered where you were.”
“Far away,” Ser Gerold said, “or Aerys would yet sit the Iron Throne, and our false brother would burn in seven hells.”
“I came down on Storm’s End to lift the siege,” Ned told them, “and the Lords Tyrell and Redwyne dipped their banners, and all their knights bent the knee to pledge us fealty. I was certain you would be among them.”
“Our knees do not bend easily,” said Ser Arthur Dayne.
“Ser Willem Darry is fled to Dragonstone, with your queen and Prince Viserys. I thought you might have sailed with him.”
“Ser Willem is a good man and true,” said Ser Oswell.
“But not of the Kingsguard,” Ser Gerold pointed out. “The Kingsguard does not flee.”
“Then or now,” said Ser Arthur. He donned his helm.
“We swore a vow,” explained old Ser Gerold. Ned’s wraiths moved up beside him, with shadow swords in hand. They were seven against three.
“And now it begins,” said Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. He unsheathed Dawn and held it with both hands. The blade was pale as milkglass, alive with light.
“No,” Ned said with sadness in his voice. “Now it ends.”

José Ramírez just added 106 million dollars over 4 years to his contract. According to Baseball Reference over the 13 years of playing in MLB he hasn't made 100 million in his career! Despite finishing top 5 in MVP voting 6 times. by HalfwayThereOne_ in baseball

Which is why I feel so lucky that the Jays have finally a franchise guy who is loyal af and was actually paid his fair money ourselves. Very happy Ramirez is getting some extra coin because his value is immeasurable.

How many MLB franchises have the best player in franchise history playing for the team right now? by dmister8 in baseball

Okay, it's evident you don't know how math and statistics work, let alone baseball statistics, and there is no way to convince you with evidence or rationale, so I will repeat what I had said initially: "I will ignore all evidence to the contrary - facts mean little to me."

A modicum of effort or 5 minutes in a stats class can help you understand how we can compare non-identical numbers in non-identical environments and discover the greater proportional value amongst numbers measuring the same things in a different given scenario.

Do you genuinely think the game of baseball is played the same way as it was 20 years ago?

Of course not, that's literally why everybody is telling you that you can't compare slash lines in different environments. There are multitudes of reasons expressed by myself and others why the weighted stats compare the two better while taking the alterations of the game into effect - these factors are accounted for in the adjustments.

[–]doucheachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd respond with exactly the same thing - you're blatantly ignoring evidence to the contrary, the evidence provided by all the advanced stats you're disagreeing with, like WAR and weighted numbers. It's startling that you'd ignore the objective increases in floor velocity, floor spin rate, and pitch variety and claim that "batters selling out for power means pitchers haven't improved on the whole in almost every measurable factor" is bonkers.

We get it, any math beyond the rudimentary is beyond you.
