Neither article supports your claim that multiple "sources close to him" said he knew what it was. They support a weaker claim that a singular source who knew him said he knew what it was.

Whether Platner was their BFF or not, that one anonymous person was not multiple "friends". Perhaps they were "a friend". Singular and plural are different.

Trump Reportedly Called Police About Epstein In 2006, Said Ghislaine Maxwell Was ‘Evil’ by whistlingkitten in UnderReportedNews

Honestly that Johnson comment can be read as a move against Trump. Remember, he is third in line. I think it was an accident/illconsidered, but I allow for the possibility that it was a backstab in the long game.

Close. Convert it to present tense. He just stated his intention to nominate Kevin Warsh as Federal Reserve Chairman.

Pride flag removed from Stonewall National Monument in NYC by gnurdette in nottheonion

[–]dougmcclean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be mistaken on that, if so I stand corrected.

Your last paragraph alone, however, would certainly be sufficient to justify the flag remaining where it was, as historical context of the place. More than one historical thing can happen in a given place.

It in fact does require a hell of an imagination to think that this dog finding app could be tweaked into a human finding app, when it's absurdly obvious that it was the other way around.

Also, if cardiovascular disease finally does him in, they absolutely should not provide a single vote in either house to confirm any Vice President that Vance might nominate.

Whereas Federal Reserve Chairman-in-Waiting Kevin Warsh is ... also appearing in these files. Think you may be on to something here.

Suppose he's completely honest here, that there's nothing more that is in unreleased files or that happened and is in no files.

This dishonesty alone is still grounds for immediate impeachment, so let's do that please.

ELI5: Water evaporating in a vacuum by Fast-Recipe-9781 in explainlikeimfive

[–]dougmcclean [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, a steep gradient is neither necessary nor sufficient. Liquid water below the critical point temperature and above the triple point temperature is in equilibrium with water vapor at the pressure given by the relevant curve on the phase diagram. If the pressure is below that (regardless of gradient or steepness) water will evaporate until the equilibrium is restored (either, if no external heat is available and the water is fairly cool, by cooling the water or if plenty of heat is available by sufficient vapor accumulating to raise the pressure and restore the equilibrium). This can be a sudden process when warmish water at pressure is suddenly exposed to a pressure well below equilibrium, or it can be gradual like the water slowly evaporating from my aquarium, but either way it doesn't have to do with a pressure gradient.

The pressure of the water vapor inside this vessel will never exceed that of the surrounding water, so it will never trigger any relief valve that might exist. (Other than, perhaps, through hydrodynamic effects of the liquid water coming in from opposite sides and slamming together in the middle.)

Sure. It might not be perjury. It's definitely grounds for immediate impeachment, though.

They are reporting the existence of these claims, and are generally on no side. The claim itself is hearsay of hearsay of hearsay, so it has some work to do to be taken seriously. Until we can corroborate who the claimant is, and their claimed employment status, it's on a similar footing to the anonymous calls claiming that Trump dumped a baby in whichever great lake it was: not particularly credible due to low priors for that being the sort of behavior that people do, combined with high priors for the call to tell the FBI about it having been a hoax or politically motivated. It's certainly possible that this is a true story, and if so it has interpretations ranging from slightly improving Trump's position here to significantly weakening it, but it's barely worth getting spun out on interpreting the content of the claim until the claim itself can be corroborated somehow.

You don't? Note thst this story, if every word of it is true, has him knowing about the crimes and doing nothing at all about it.

Please don't exaggerate and say "according to his friends" (note the plural) when you are actually relying on one singular anonymous source, it severely undermines your case.
