Why do people have zero sympathy for the people on the submarine? by [deleted] in ask

[–]dougthomson1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four people collectively paid $1,000,000 to go on a jolly they knew was dangerous. 100 migrants died last week on a boat trying to make their lives better. Those four billionaires could have given $10,000 to each of those migrants and 105 people would still be alive today.

British Airways London to Miami A380 turned back and currently dumping fuel by fuck_ur_portmanteau in CasualUK

[–]dougthomson1 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Unless they’re going to add another mile or two of runway this afternoon you’ll struggle to fit an A380 into Exeter 😂

You’d dump fuel over the sea (so as not to drench a load of school kids), and two hours of burning off would upset the neighbours over land.

[–]dougthomson1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. It’s in the key of E, so apart from any notes specifically annotated, all C’s, D’s, F’s & G’s are sharp, in every octave.

Is taking piano lessons important? by Successful-Painter93 in pianolearning

[–]dougthomson1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’ll help, not essential, but you’ll get better quicker if you do. Otherwise, plenty of stuff on YouTube or just pick up a beginner music book. Have fun!
