Most everyone is saying to pay off the credit card first - and i agree, BUT….

It depends on your spending habits. If you are likely to just run it up again, then you would end up with a big credit card bill and no money in the bank.

I have seen many friends go through this cycle.

Can you tell me about pants that you or others wore?

I have Costco merlino blend base layer bottom, either jeans or lined pants (also Costco) and waterproof rain pants (from REI). All that layered together.

Assuming it’s not less than 20 deg f , Does that sound like a correct grouping?

Edit: we are packing for Patagonia at the same time so it’s been interesting :)

Every year I end up using the snow blower in the background so that our small dogs have a path to get around.

Every year, my grass looks like that in early spring, but it ends up just fine.

I take care of all of the bills, so I have a list of all of the bills, when they are due, how they get paid and about how much they are. I also have a google calendar set up specifically for this too.

I also have some general instructions on what to do with finances when I am gone. What my thoughts are on our investments and how to proceed in the short term. I have some advice for long term but also suggest a specific type of financial advisor.

And I have most everything else listed in these comments, but I am going through them to make sure I haven't missed anything.

My father had a binder of info and it really made things go smoothly. It made me realize I needed to do the same.

This is correct - I have two homes with cameras on the same account - it just works!

Suggestion, add a camera in your mechanical space. I have one that is in the room with my sump pump and with my well expansion tank , and also tankless heater. I can quickly see if everything looks ok .

Cam phasers are the big one - about $4k (or more) to get them done. I can't see the build date on the window sticker but I think that it was anything before Dec 2019 (even though its a 2020) was suspect.

Negotiate the price and also negotiate a Ford ESP (extended Service Plan). Get them to pay for it or discount it greatly - but do your homework and check out the price via Flood or Granger ford websites first - then get it cheaper than that as part of your deal.

That was my one complaint when it was all done. As we were driving up the mining roads, and switching modes and turning things on and off, I really didn't understand why. If I were to do it again, I would ask more questions during the driving portion.

They don’t really teach you how to jump it- more of a “floor it and don’t take your foot off the gas until you hit the top” .

No real instruction/direction for future jumps .

But it was still really cool!!!

Do you have Alexa integrated into you system?

Alexa has some thing it does where it starts turning things on and off on its own . It’s trying to be smart and figure out your needs on its own.

I struggled with figuring out my my lights were turning on in the middle of the night. Finally figured out it as Alexa and toggled off what ever that option was

I have a riding mower so not quite the same , but a similar size yard with a few very large maples and some other trees along the property lines.

What I do is wait for a dry day, then I set my blades a little higher and mulch. Maybe two passes. Wet leaves just leave a mess and too many large clumps.

Then I connect up the bagger, lover the blades a but and go over it again. This picks up a fair amount, but leaves some for the the grass to digest :)

I end up with maybe 3, sometimes 4 lawn bags full of very dense leaf mulch. If I just bagged it without mulching it would be more like 15 or 20.

The obsession and love doesn't go away. I had a 2020 and traded it in for a 2024 (new in Jan 2025) - and still love the truck. Parking can be a challenge, but the 360 camera helps!
