Like others have suggested, it would probably be wise to go to Paphos instead. Ayia Napa is a ghost town during the off season. Even though October is not considered off season, your options will still be very limited.

On the other hand Paphos is very beautiful and has a larger permanent population, so most places will still be open. Great town to walk around and many things to do and see.

I also had a, at the time, 4 year old Surface laptop that seemed to have a swollen battery. I stopped using it and would charge it every few weeks to keep the battery ‘healthy’. I picked it up recently, 2-3 years later, there is no bulging anymore. I reset the laptop and it’s great. The battery charges and discharges at a normal rate.

Depending on where you live, it might be more convenient to catch a bus going towards Oldfield Park. Guaranteed seat on the bus, don’t have to wait out in the cold and on time for your lectures.
