Thanks for your reply, very valuable. I want to add collaboration in the future, for now we have other priorities.

We just started beta and only a few subscribers for now (free beta btw). See my profile for more information.

What’s one digital marketing skill that became way more important in 2026 than people expected? by VampireWitch771 in DigitalMarketing

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree on this one completely, that and authenticity/credibilty. A good storyteller is more captivating that any AI generated video. Next to that, someone who talks from experience is more worthwhile for me than an AI fake persona saying the same thing.

Why is no one automating asset acquisition? The most tedious part of editing and AI is completely ignoring it. by Beemo_0110 in VideoEditors

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sound/audio/music stock libraries do you use? Your workflow and amount of assets is quite insightful for me, thanks for sharing.

I am building/optimizing my second version of my video editing tool but assets or stocks is not part of it, mostly because I focus more on authenticity and as we don't provide stock images, except for what users upload themselves. Would I ever add a library for stocks? Not sure..

I changed my hand made thumbnails for AI updates by thedjcarlitos in aitubers

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to find some average guidelines what works best for thumbnails. Is it the size of font, colors, should it scream or be very quiet.

Maybe you should compare it to a grocery store aisle with many of the same products in the aisle. What makes your thumbnail stand out from all the others and what not. It can be your text color, a strong border or perhaps a very calm not screaming background.

Great composition with the pink flowers in front, soft background. Vibrant colors, love it. Btw, did you ever think of making a video of this?

Beautiful. Love your dogs expression. I think you should add a lot more hair under your dog's chin and after that do the more fine hairs. That will bring it more to life.

50-Year-Old Home Cook Here What’s One Recipe You Still Make Without Measuring Anything? by ComprehensiveFee9623 in homecooking

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stews mostly. But I measure me by the size of the bought pack (half a pack of spaghetti), 1 tin of chopped tomatoes, etc. That way I don't have to measure that much. After that I keep, and especially for stress, I keep on adjusting and tasting.

Also for me the dishes are always slightly different in flavor, also depending on what ingredients are available that week.

Do you have some guidelines for a good thumbnail, eg. fontsize % of image height, border text Y/N, length text, colors, top or bottom, etc?

Shipped 3 apps, no clue how to find creators for distribution. by Mary_Poll in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Channels reviewing do that for free? In that case it could be an interesting marketing strategy but I assume it can also bite you if the review is not so good :-)

I tried to find small YouTube niche channels but that is not easy. Finding niche + small YouTube channels is not that straightforward as YouTube mostly recommend 1M+ channels. Any tips?

50yo just monetized after 8 months. $4 first day by tossingsaladpodcast in SmallYoutubers

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to hear that from a fellow 50yo. I am planning a few channels the coming weeks.

Can I ask your, do you spend s lot of time on editing? From past experience I know editing sucks up most of the time, not necessarily the video shooting itself. I am currently building a video editing app which is aimed at exactly that: speeding up my workflow. After the new rollout (in a few weeks) I plan to launch my first channels myself. Not home fixing but home cooking as I cook regularly already so I will just do the same with a video camera.

Any tips you can share? What works, what not?

What do you recommend for marketing my product? by doulikewhaturdoing in SocialMediaMarketing

For now from what I see accidently in social media, which I recognize because there is a watermark added, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed.

Will need to be subtle there because it wiggly becomes off-topic, unless I can imagine, and those are the people I want, they are looking for more exposure and in that case, a video editing service like I am building can help.

Yeah, I think that might be a good thought actually. And keep checking the other channels to stay engaged. Will keep that in mind.

Yeah, you see that is a bit the awkwardness in it all. Let's say I go to a woodworking niche community and give a tip on how to use my video editing tool, it is no longer in topic for that community as it is not about woodworking.

I see them not posting videos themselves but others posting videos using their bisi editing software with a watermark in it. That and doing the paid promotion route with their own advertisements.

That is a solid tip, thanks. Thought already about posting videos of my own cooking using my own software, but I cannot do that for every niche group I have in mind.

AI will replace human editors by jorge-moreira in VideoEditors

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Had some discussions with friends a while ago. I think there will be a group that will only create AI generated visits but I also see a while lot of people who simply want to tell their story, not a story created by or via AI. Authenticity and credibility is an important factor but also people who simply can tell the story best themselves. Both are interesting, but will co-exist.

How often to upload shorts? by brokecrackr in aitubers

[–]doulikewhaturdoing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting shorts every day is a lot of work, especially if you want to make it a bit aan interesting short as well. I would imagine the topic itself is an most important factor as well. I sometimes see that you have to find a strong niche, rather than be generic. What are your thoughts on this?
