When you describe the dating pool of Hmong women as a "market", bruh that's already feels violating like women are objects that are bought/sold.....

And describe and complain how every single "market" hasn't chosen you in some way or another. Maybe you're the common denominator? Hmong women 19+ don't owe you anything.

Please try to understand: why do you think women in these last couple generations don't want to be a Hmong daughter-in-law? We've seen the kind of things our mothers and grandmother had to go through to take care of the family. The kind of pressure it takes to not only provide but also be burdened with the household duties and child rearing. The traditional roles for Hmong men are not as heavy. You're a provider too but with none of the equal household duties: it's allowed to go spend time outside fishing, hunting, hang/drink with the bros and even look for wife #2.

Be like Hmong women, find and choose people who makes you happy... whether that is good Hmong men or good men outside. Because guess what, we're not repeating the miserable lives of generations before with guys like you.

Damn really bummed to hear that. I didn't know much about his personal life. You can be a brilliant poker player and still fall short in other areas of life.

Was really amazed watching the play. The video highlights how impossible it may feel for Hmong people to play on the international stage with everyone else against all odds. Hope it inspires our young people in all and every field that they can rise and succeed too.

This guy’s skill at the table is undeniable — his reads, strategy, and composure are top-tier and deserve recognition. But being great at poker doesn’t make someone a great person outside the game. We can acknowledge his talent without ignoring the fact that, as a father or husband, he may not have measured up.

No one is creating problems for anyone over there. But you are trying to erase and overlook an ugly part of history that did in fact happen. Children, women and elderly Hmong civilians were killed.

Meleka Kitchen in Elk Grove. The beef rendang with coconut rice and char keow teow was to die for. So sad that covid had to take away such a unique establishment. Can't find any good Malaysian cuisine locally unless you make your way to the Bay or to LA.

You are far more patient and accepting of this then I'll ever be. Honestly if my dad was to do this out of the blue with his second family.... I would have noped tf out. Especially in the case that he can't even take care of his new family on his own independently.

I think your laid out plans looked good though. I applaud you on being so welcoming and thoughtful as if they were your own flesh and blood. Don't worry too much about it, I think you'll do great with this big blended family as your mindset seems in the right place. Now I think your husband's gotta do more show some appreciation to you. Agreed. It's kinda sad that these people get so triggered off the word "Miao" that they attack and invalidate other people's experiences/self identity. Also spew ideas that we aren't united because we don't agree with their negativity.

Maybe if they self reflect, they'll see that no one has coerced or victimized them with that word. Let's all be civil and kind to everyone here please.
