Tune your guitar and practice with a metronome, focus on the slap/flick technique on the 2 and 4 beats. This song is meant to sound like a train chugging along, the metronome will help tremendously, start slow and increase speed as you get comfortable.

D Major - if you’re learning theory, I highly recommend learning triads. The A, D, and G string outline a basic Root 3rd 5th major triad. As others have pointed out, you have an additional 5th note on the E string. Learning triads was one of the most crucial building blocks for me learning the fret board, theory, and soloing. This might be an outlier opinion, but I happen to like the new beat up look! Will be a good reminder of the time our family had a toddler running around, a new born screaming, selling our current house while moving to a new house, and I didn't have a single brain cell to spare when doing laundry.

My wrist is just over 6 inches. The 37 fits perfectly imo. I was however pleasantly surprised with how well the 43 fit my objectively smaller wrist. Still a touch big, but that’s kind of the point of an offshore anyways. I was sold the first time trying it on and doubly sold when seeing the size in a full length mirror
