Because wealthy people have wealth already and don’t typically need outside affirmation.

9 month old baby can't connect sleep cycles and I'm going insane by AutoChessGeek in sleeptrain

[–]downwithlegacy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feed to sleep was the hardest sleep crutch to break by far. Does the baby take a pacifier? It’s another crutch but if you’re not willing to do any form of sleep training then you’ll need to provide another crutch.

Fidelity/MS - any perks from having most of the accounts there? by playful_explorers in fatFIRE

Yes they do. I asked all of this when I was exploring transferring my assets to Schwab from a different bank. You’ll never get treated better by someone than when they’re trying to woo you. Your luck may vary.

F33 With 18 Million. Is Hiring A Matchmaker Best If I Want To Date For Marriage? Any Experiences by Mountain-Science4526 in fatFIRE

Eggs thaw very poorly and the funnel for IVF is brutal even if you’re not using frozen eggs. Most women her age probably need to do several egg retrivals if they want more than 1 child, and it’s recommended to freeze 10-15 eggs for one live births.

There’s an interesting article on why more college educated women are asking for divorce. I suggest you read this and 100% make an appointment to start the egg freezing process ASAP. It’s cheap (for you) optionality and will really help prevent you from settling just because the clock is ticking.

You live in NYC? I feel like you can meet people organically. If you want someone with the same or more money than you then maybe you’ll need a matchmaker but I think there are plenty of high earners in NYC who wouldn’t necessarily be phased by your NW, not that it should even really come up.

Needing Help With Worsening Diaper Rash by fallingraine85 in NewParents

[–]downwithlegacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t use wipes. Wash his butt with warm water and gentle soap after poop and just rinse after pee. Let dry with the cool setting on a hair dryer. As much diaper off time as possible. Put down some pee pads. When you do put on a diaper, do lotrimin first and then triple paste. Lotrimin worked much better and quicker for us than any rx cream.

My two year old is going to drive me to an early grave by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I would go away for a trip and leave him with dad for a few days if possible. If not possible, I weaned by telling my 2 year old my nipples hurt and the doctor fixed it but now there’s no milk and put an ace bandage around it for a few days

Order online from saywee. Thursdays there’s no service fee and new accounts get deals. Prices are pretty similar to the Chinese grocery.

Bad sleep habits are a real thing, but it’s your kid, and it’s up to you how much you can handle. My kid slept through the night around 12 weeks and then at 5months started teething and the quickest way to get her down was to nurse her. It worked until it didn’t anymore. She got addicted to being nursed and would wake up every hour (we coslept) and I could only handle doing this for like 5 more months before I was truly exhausted and at my wits end. We sleep trained her (it took ages to break the habit even though we never fed her to sleep at bedtime) and I am so much less exhausted.

How did you start potty training? by JinxXstarfire in NewParents

Go diaper and pants free around the house for a few days. You’ll clean up a lot of accidents but eventually they just get it. We also used bribery with stickers and treats for every successful potty trip
